★ ★ ★ ★ ★ PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REVIEW, THE TRUTH SHOULD BE OUT AND LOUD: I had been visiting Siddharth Opticals (Punjabi Bagh west branch) for quiet some years. Unfortunately, I used to visit the place regularly even for my eye check up because maybe I trusted them blinfoldedly at that point of time and also because the shop was just across the street from where I lived. However whenever I used to visit there, their machine showed an increased eye power as compared to the last time (no matter whether I visited within a month or after 6 months it always showed an increased value of my eye power). This one time when I went there it, as usual, again showed a higher power and the store salesperson started convincing me to buy a new set of glasses, at this point I became really suspicious because the amount of increase it was showing would have easily hampered my vision but I did not experience any such difficulties regarding that. So, I decided to first consult a real doctor about the increase before buying a new pair of glasses. But, to my surprise as I was leaving I was charged with the eye check up fee by Siddharth Opticals despite they knowing that I am a regular visitor (kuddos to their customer service and reciprocation of customer loyalty).
The next day, as planned, I visited a hospital to get the check up done. When the results came in, the doctor told me that there was no change in my eye power and that everything was fine. Shocked and surprised, I made a visit at another hospital which is just adjacent to the previous hospital, and even there the results were the same.
That day I learnt a lesson that never rely on individual stores for an eye check up. Always get it double checked. Today my eye power is (-3.5, -4.25). I had been visiting Siddharth Opticals since the time I was 10 years old till 19 years of age and from the last time I visited the store my power has been stable. I don't know how many times they have played around with my eye power just to make some money out of it or how many people they have been doing it with, I am pretty sure I am not the only one who has fallen prey to this evil practice of Siddharth Opticals. I hope this review opens up your eyes about this place.
