I attended the academy's classes for Cds course it was a complete disappointment. They do not have any proper faculty for coaching especially for Cds or afcat course. The study materials they provided are not upto the mark at all. Maybe they have good faculty for Ssb,but for written exam my experience was not good .

I am Sayak Bhattacharya. I got recently got recommended for TES 46 course from 32 SSB Kapurthala. I was the only candidate to get recommended despite the fact that around 285 candidates reported on the day of screening. Siegwald Academy played a vital role in shaping my performance at SSB. No coaching institute can transform you completely but can surely help you improve your performance and help you recognize the serious flaws. After getting conferenced out from 22 SSB Bhopal in September, I was bent upon assessing my mistakes committed.  I found that I was giving pre-conceived ideas in psychology tests and it happened due to over-practise, in the GD I was having good amount of knowledge and I was readily countering the points being given by other candidates and hence acting as a hurdle from the raising of common idea. I was also not having much ideas in PGT, HGT and FGT. The individual assessment of candidates for psychology tests and it's debriefing helped me recognize my mistakes. Col Basu at Siegwald guided me to give my original ideas and responses and giving two mock psychology tests helped me improve my quality of work as in the SSB quality always surpasses quantity.  The mock interview at Siegwald and the briefing of the interview at the end helped me realise what are the things I shouldn't say infront of the IO at SSB and also how to properly frame my answers. This also boosted my confidence at the interview and gave me an added experience. The most important were the GTO classes by Col Mukherjee. I was weak in PGT and HGT and so the models of the obstacles helped me gain much ideas on how to negotiate with them, further more I was taught how to handle the rope and use if effectively this turned out to be the Brahmastra at SSB. When one is using the rope to negotiate with the obstacles,  this would make the group completely dependent upon him and would also draw the GTO's attention and I believe that it gives an advantage and also make a candidate distinguishable in a group. Also, in Siegwald I was taught the right tact to deal and be unique in the group during GD and GPE. The motivation and personality development classes by Col Sengupta and Mr. Lahiri were too much helpful as SSB is more an exam of personality than that of knowledge or physical strength.  The 2 week course at Siegwald will always continue to be a memorable one for me as I got to learn so many new things. The individual assessment of candidates at the last day would continue to be my favourite as I got sufficient confidence to believe in my performance and I ended up in getting recommended from 32 SSB Kapurthala. Thus,  the tagline of Siegwald i.e. Creating leaders is true in all senses. It requires tremendous mental preparation to clear the toughest interview in India and become an officer of this prestigious organisation.When I reported for screening, I got a bit nervous on seeing almost 300 candidates. Soon, I calmed myself and realised that it is 1 vs 1 war and not a 1 vs 285 because majority of the tasks are based upon individual performances, and so I only have to give my best performance. Neither the presence of so many previously recommended candidates nor IIT students could instill fear in my mind as Bhagavad Gita 6:5 says "the mind can be the friend and also the enemy of the self".
