Sir Sunderlal Hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS-BHU) in Varanasi, India. Located on the BHU campus, it is the largest tertiary referral hospital in Eastern Uttar Pradesh state.
Now hospital have new Regional Opthalmology centre.
Cancer institute.
Ayurvedic department,
Pediatric department,
Blood bank all facilities are available.
Hospital Staff and doctors teams are very hard working.
Hospital security staffs are very hard working and their attitude helpful & pollite for patient's family and also patients.
It's lifeline hospital for specially Uttar pradesh Purvanchal area and other states like Bihar , Jharkhand , West bangal

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SIR SUNDERLAL HOSPITAL, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY is called "AIIMS OF THE EAST". I always wanted to study at this place. Being a medico everyone's dream of AIIMS, NEW DELHI. But frankly speaking IMS BHU was my dream college. Although i cannot secured a seat here, but it always gives me goosebumps when i visit this place. I still remember when i was called for my NEET PG Counselling in the year 2018, in BHU. I was so thrilled and excited. Although in the counselling round only MD ANESTHESIA seats were vacant. And i was so fascinated by BHU that although i didn't had an interest in Anesthesia branch, i wanted that i should get that one seat. I missed by inches.?? But still BHU is a different world. Whole Varanasi one side, and BHU campus one side.
That VT TEMPLE, VT KI CHAI, BHU KI SHAAM, GREEN FIELDS, people doing morning and evening walks, soothing pin drop silence in campus, everything is phenomenal. That BIRLA boys hostel fun.
#DilSeBHU.❤️❤️ Even if again in my life, i gotta chance to study here, i would love to.

It provides good cure for most of the diseases at very affordable prices . BHU is a university and in that Sir Sundarlal Hospital is situated and provides best facilities in Purvanchal and Varanasi

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Naam Bade Darsan Chhote... The Doctors literally experiment on the patients, instead of getting well one will get worse. The Doctors prescribed Medicines which is supplied by Single vendor only. If possible avoid going. Better go if you have references other wise avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst hospital for emergency patients. Your patient will die but doctors will say to get a admission receipt for "EMERGENCY". And the management is also worst. My brother is ill and they are just referring my brother from one department to another. No one knows what is he suffering from. Don't go to BHU Hospital with your loved ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are good private and government hospitals in Varanasi. In SS hospital, BHU there are OPD of many departments, including speciality and super speciality. It includes Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, STD clinic, ART clinic, Adolescent clinic, Pain clinic, Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pediatric Surgery , cardiothoracic surgery, oncosurgery, Radiotherapy, Physiotherapy. There are wards which are usually very overcrowded. There is huge rush in OPDs so there is a long waiting. The ICU is well equipped but is always full. Emergency is always busy. It becomes difficult for many patients because of huge rush.
People come here from very long distances, they are usually from all over UP and Bihar.

"Medical education in Varanasi, the oldest living city of the world, dates from the days of Sushruta 500 BC. Infact this is also the history of Medical education in India. The great treatise - 'Sushruta Samhita' is a living testimony of contributions to Medical education that originated in Varanasi, Sushruta was the first to perform cadaver dissections and described a number of operating instruments and surgical operations. Perhaps it is a continuation of this historical perspective that Medical education in Banaras Hindu University took roots in 1920 with the establishment of Department of Ayurveda under Faculty of Oriental Learning and Theology (1922-1927). Under the influence of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviyaji, Seth Mathuradas Vissanji Khimji of Bombay donated a large some of Rs.1.5 Lacs for the Ayurvedic College. This was further augmented by donations from Shri Daya Shankar Dev Shankar Dave of Kathiawar and Bombay"
