I am not sure who rated this trek as easy, however it should have been categorised as a moderate one. That's a steep trek and people usually get lost on their way down the hill. It is advisable to take extreme care of your way uphill, so that you can easily come downhill. Choose not to go while sun is on the top. It's an amazing place for good weather conditions.

Wonderful place to trek, especially in the monsoon! A relatively easy hill to climb, if you go in the non monsoon times. Rainy season gets it on a tougher level because of the puddles and slippery wet mud. But surely a fun experience! Bonus: Waterfall around as well!

For beginners, this is the best one-day trek. During the monsoon, there are 2-3 patches which may be slightly risky. You can take sharing auto rikshaw from Karjat station and reach the base village, Sondewadi. There are no direct buses available. Food and water are available both at the base village and along the hiking trail. There is no entry fee but you need to pay the parking charges if you take your private vehicle. Do visit the Morbe dam which is on the way to sondewadi and the Changewadi waterfall which is at 20 min walking distance from the starting point of the trek.

One of the best places I have been so far. It is located at 3680 ft. Well if you are a first-time trekker then it will be challenging for you. One thing to remember before going to this place is the Weather condition, it is dangerous when it's raining very heavily, you'll miss the scenes because of the fog, and the rocks are very slippery, so make sure to wear gripped shoes. It will be a memorable experience for you. Good Luck!

Sondai, located in Karjat denotes one of its most beautiful assets which is blessed with amazing scenic beauty. The location is famous for getting visitors spellbound with adventurous trekking experience, especially during monsoons. On reaching the top, you get a mesmerizing view of the Matheran Mountain range which comprises of green landscapes and foggy pinnacle. Sondai Fort Trek Height: 1200 ft. About Sea Level (Approx.)

I have to say, this trek isn't so easy. I had a great time climbing up that mountain gazing at the beautiful view around. The sky was at its best that day✨ There is pretty much nothing on top of the mountain but once your eyes roll around, baby, you gonna fall in love with nature all over again. It was a beautiful day.

Great trek. Best trek for group. Difficulty level medium range to climb and too difficult to get down. I do not suggest anyone to go this fort due to slippery way in the rainy season. There is only one way to climb and down with steep slope. There is lots of risky patches. If u miss this do or die situation. Only 1.5 hrs trek. You can visit only on weekends.
