★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somebody had recommended to me on the passing about South Box. The name remained in my mind, but never thought I would ever be paying them a visit. It was by chance that I happened to visit them. A few days back I was in the area of their shop, and urged myself to visit them out of sheer curiosity. Actually it is a tiny outlet with just few chairs and couple of long granite platforms on either sides of the wall to act as tables, and help serve the plates. But the place seemed lively and cheerful. I ordered a few snacks items and sat down to finish them, and was quite satisfied with their quality.
On a whim, I decided to try out their lunch. [They have a parcel system, wherein the lunch (Sambar, Rasam, Curry and one Kootu - minus the rice ) is handed over in small plastic containers. I opted to take a parcel for my lunch, to have it home. The quantity given
is adequate and reasonably priced (107/-). And I can honestly tell after a long time, I had the pleasure of enjoying truly authentic home-made South Indian food. The quality and taste of the dishes are extremely good. I cannot say I'm happy with their choice of packing though. I'm dead against use of plastic, hence will only be too happy if they adopt a more environment-friendly substitute for it's purpose. As far as lunch is concerned, their Rasam (Tomato ) deserves a special mention. It has a classic taste. I had it later for my evening meal too ( drinking it like soup). Its flavour and taste was simply marvellous.
I also happened to try their (Kesari) as dessert. It is mind-blowing! The taste and the richness of the stuff is absolutely awesome. This one dish simply won my heart!
In me at least, they have found a regular client! I'm hoping to introduce some of my non-Tamilian friends to authentic South Indian dishes in the near future, courtesy them.
I will wish South Box the very best in their endeavour. ??☘️????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb south Indian menu. Really enjoyed all that we have tried. Podi dosa, Idli, Idiappam etc etc.. Specially we have been ordering tomato rice for the fourth time now. And will continue to have it.. ?
The prices too are extremely reasonable.. Definitely a must order for all South Indian food lovers..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ South Box as the name indicates typical south indian food which I am very fond of .I have tasted many different dishes from south box .I love how flavorful and delicious is the sambhar with all the fresh vegetables and mainly homemade sambhar masala in it, it's truly worth ,have never tasted sambhar like this anywhere not in the restaurant also ,even I had payasam it's one type of kheer may b and it was mouthwatering my six years old son just love it . There is so much to say about all dishes .
So don't wait and just go and try out the south dishes ,mainly south food lovers ???

A genuine authentic South Indian test can be explored here.
The owner and his daughters serves you with a good hospitality & even there parcel packing quality is worth recommended.
Test is really authentic, cleanliness is good and Worth trying.
They offer the genuine South Indian tiffin services to elderly South Indian peoples too.
My favourite here is Podi Idali, Pongal, Sheera, Rawa Dosa.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you love authentic South Indian Food.. Then this place is for you. We went from Lodha Palava to this place in search of Authentic South Indian food.
Location - I think it's kind of good Location but you will need to search for this place as it gets hidden behind a Tree. They can put a board on the tree itself..
We were there on almost closing time for Lunch around 2.30. But we requested that we came from far and they had gave us select few options to choose from.
We had Appam, Iddiyappam, Medu Vada and Filter Coffee..
All of this was great, pure Tamil Nadu type South Indian food. Sambhar was different than regular Maharashtrian Sambhar.
I had a feeling like we are eating Dal Chawal while eating Iddiyappam with Sambhar. But was totally worth it.
Food was medium Spicy and we loved it.
Best part was the Filter Coffee to give our taste buds a closing ceremony..
Keep it up guys, looking forward to going to the place more often.
