Nice place . Teerta has tortoise and fishes swimming in it which is very pleasant to watch. Also it's beautiful to watch water flowing from Nandhi's mouth over shiva. Peaceful.

Normally I visit all temples in Malleswaram. This temple is special because it is in a cave & water flows from Nandi's mountain 24x7 & no one knows the source of water

Dakshinabhamukha Nandi Theertha Temple, Bangalore Although the history of the temple is unclear, the temple was discovered in 1997. According to experts, the temple dates back 400 years. In 1997, the site was purchased by someone. Then the Nandi Tirtha Temple was completely covered in sludge and only the top of Nandi's head was visible. then the Assistant Commissioner of Police, DK Shivaram and Congress leader Hariprasa, knowing the glory of the place, told the evacuees to remove the mud. But one surprise is that after cleaning the Shivalinga, water began to flow from Nandi's mouth. Here, devotees ate the tirtha which falls from the mouth of Nandi. A beautiful ancient temple to behold. Neatly handled. The turtle and the fish in the Kalyani in front of God is very special. This is only the case in some parts of Dakshinamukhi Nandi India. I have visited it a few times. It is located on Temple Road, Malleswaram, opposite the Gangamma and the wild(kadu) Malleswara Srilakshminarasimha Swamy Temple. It is an amazing temple Visit if possible

Well maintained, green, holy, ancient place with a history of significance. A statue of Nandi and Shiva linga for worship with ever flowing water from the Nandi's mouth whose source is unknown till now. It is said that many tried but failed to trace the source point of the water

* source of information collected from the banner inside the temple As the name suggests, Sri Dakshinamukha Nandi Tirtha Kalyani Kshetra has idols of Nandi and Shiva facing south. Such south facing idols are a rarity and therefore the Shiva here is also called as 'Dakshinamurthy'. The idol of Nandi is situated on a platform above the Shivalinga and there is a continuous flow of water from Nandi's mouth onto the Shivalinga. The source of water from Nandi's mouth is unknown and it falls directly on the Shivalinga. As per the locals water is said to possess great healing power & devotees consume this water as teertha. History of the temple The temple is over 400 year old. The whole temple was submerged under the soil and only the upper part of the Nandi's head was visible. In 1997, with the help of the residents of Malleshwaram, politically influential people helped in saving the temple. ** the above information is available inside the temple with more details of pooja and other ritual information Over all this place has Devine presence the moment you enter the temple you can feel the positive vibes its very good place to meditation ?

This is my favorite temple in Bangalore. Most peaceful and spiritual place. Located at the heart of Bangalore with 4 temple opposite to it. The Nandi Shiva and the pond view gives you a positive vibe and such soothing experience. And those tiny turtles and fishes are so beautiful to see. Best place for family and friends. Especially kids would love this place.

It's a very pleasant temple... I would highly recommend early morning visit to this temple... Just to sit around the step well and immerse into the sight of turtles and fishes... It's so refreshingly beautiful!

I just love this temple, frequently visited place, here the speciality is shiva faced towards south(dakshina) which not usual hindu temple style, water coming out of nandi mounth and falling on the shiva is mystery and it was excavated recently. Kalyani has turtles and fishes watching them is a calm therapy. Old Nature is preserved nicely.
