Lord Krishna lifted the hill to protect the people and animals of the region from relentless rains which rain god Indra invoked to punish the people for not appeasing him. Very Peaceful place to sit & meditate, interior and entrance give you the feeling of being inside the cave. The drawings on the wall describes the story of lord Krishna.

Right from the tunnel that leads into the temple to the deity of Lord Krishna holding the Govardhana hill, there are quite a few aspects that set this temple apart from the others. Twisting and turning into the interior of the temple, the narrow path leads you to the inner sanctum. This is where you’ll find the deity – Lord Krishna holding up the Govardhana hill on a finger.

Very nice place with beautiful landscaping work which replicates the historic Govardhan hill.
Krishna is so beautiful, you will fall in love with the place.
The temple also houses a cow shed.

Excellent Architectures, and Carved wall telling numerous stories of Shri Krishna.
Very well maintained temple from Puthige Matt, Udupi.
No footwear problem, temple has seperate stands.

It's designed as a cave. One will find so much of calm and peace in side temple.
Nearby you can visit Bull temple, which is also a tourist attraction.
There is a beautiful park nearby just beside Bull temple. You can rest there for some time.
