β β β β β The temple is supposed to be the oldest temple in Bangalore going back almost a 1000 years to the times of Chola dynasty. However it went through various embellishments by different rulers and now is a true representative of Vijayanagar architecture. Nestled inside the heart of the city close to Halasuru police station it is easily accessible. Take your time to appreciate the carvings and get blessed by Lord Shiva as Sri.Someshwara.

β β β β β Loved the temple vibe. It is a Chola period temple, build on Dravida style of architecture.
Constructed by the Chalukyan kings. You can read more on Wikipedia about it.
Much of the site is under maintenance so you might see construction work in process.

β β β β β This temple is dedicated to Shiva in the form of Someshwara Swamy. Located in Bengaluru city, this is a real old temple with Chola style architecture. The temple is incredibly beautiful and exudes wonderful vibes. However, the access roads are very narrow and there's parking available only for two wheelers. Finding parking spots for cars may be difficult especially during peak hours.

β β β β β One of the most mesmerising, beautiful , soulful , peaceful Shiva temples I have been too ! The mandir resonates positive vibes and the all Pujariβs are smiling and very humble . A lot of history is unspoken of β¦ the inner sanctum is more than 4000 years old but outter layers of temple have been built multiple times by cholas , and chalukya in last 2000 years of its history .
