The committee of this temple are doing a commendable job. This temple always looks tidy. One of the stand out temples in Nellore town. It has got a separate podium which would fit around 100 devotees to perfom bhajanas.

An historic temple located on the banks of the Penna River and is believed to have been built by the governors of Pallava during the 7th and 8th centuries. The Simhapuri rulers also contributed to the construction of the temple. This temple was later developed by King Raja Mahendra Varma in the 12th century AD. Gaaligopuram is seven floors with excellent sculptures & is approximately 70 feet high and has 10 feet of gold plated vessels on top of it, calledΒ kalashams. A must place to visit in Nellore.
