★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Temple was located in Kadapa district in proddatur town near PINAKINI River temple was built on 25th July 1890. It's so precious to all people in proddatur.
It's also called as Second kasi, second Mysore and second Bombay.
Origin of temple history:
. The architectural background of the temple (the conditions that led to its construction) is very surprising. The construction of the Shri Vasavi Kanyakaparameshwari Temple of Pradhuttur is a symbol of the collective effort of many great people. Others are inspirational to the enthusiasts. It is not necessary to say that all this was the result of the Vasavi Mata Divine Compassion, which was completed 125 years after the construction of the temple. The small hill town of Andhra Pradesh is one of the most renowned temples in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Parlapadu is a village about 10 miles from the town of Proddatur. Kamisetti Kondappa and Lakshumma were born in the tribe of Padigasila a hundred years ago and had three sons. The eldest son was Venkatappa, the second son was Yallappa and the third son was Cherukonda. The third son of them was a small-minded multifaceted scholar. With his wit and energy, Madras | He went to the city (today known as Chennai) and did a great business there and made a lot of money and lived happily ever after. One day when I saw him living in the dream of Lord Jagannatha Sri Vasavi Kanyakaparameshwari Devi, I was going to visit the town of Proddatur on the northern side of the Pinakini River in the Kadapa district, where I was instructed to build a beautiful temple. And he was astonished, and held it as a commandment of the Amma. . . .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very famous for Dasara celebration. The goddess avatarams, decorations are so grand and the crowd also. The final day in Dasara Navaratri, the temple management will go for Shami darshan with different kinds of bands and many attractions. Because of that people call Proddatur as second Mysore in Dasara celebrations.
