SRIRAM INSTITUTE OF MARINE STUDIES : The institute is approved by the DG Shipping, Govt. of India and affiliated to the Indian Maritime University, Chennai. At present we conduct almost 40 DG Shipping approved courses at our present campus in New Delhi. The institute is became functional from 27th January 2003. The institute commenced its first batch of erastwhile Deck Rating course in April 2003 and One Year Pre Sea Diploma in Nautical Science (Applied Nautical Science) in August 2006. The institute has its own land of 10 acres in the prime location of Dwarka(New Delhi). The institute progressed by leaps and bound and today it has Competency, Post Sea, Advanced STCW, Basic STCW and Specific Ship type courses. A team of dedicated full and Part time faculty, Ex Navy instructors and supporting staff. The institute also operates a Recruitment and Placement of Seafarers License MUM 255 for the pupose of povide the Onboard training to our passed out students.
To ensure the present standard of Maritime Training and Education with international standards, we provide our students the best infrastructure in terms of class rooms with modern teaching aids, well equipped workshops for practical training, Marine workshop for hands on training on Marine Auxiliaries etc. The hostel is very well furnished and other facilities like inhouse canteen, Indoor and outdoor games, Swimming pool, Medical facilities are available within the institute's campus.
With a thrust solely in the field of Maritime Training, institute has the intention to place New Delhi on the world map of "Preferred Maritime Education & Training Destinations". With the ever increasing and encouraging support from the Maritime fraternity, we are sure of achieving our Goals.
Sriram Institute of Marine Studies has its own independent campus in which all educational activities are conducted. Residential facilities with the Best Catering services, state of the art classrooms with smart boards, LCD projectors, DVDs and computers are provided for the lectures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanted to do STCW course here but the person whom I called for knowing details first of all did not pick my call and when he did he spoke rudely with me as if I called him and disturbed him.
I got no information and felt really embarrassed.
The first impression itself was very bad.
Next minute only I called another Institute and the way they communicated was so pleasing that I instantly enrolled there.
I am writing this review because just like the way I did not enroll here because of the rude etiquette, there are many others like me who feel the same and go for some other Institute.
Please manage your administration team, they are not at all professional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not join for any courses.. they will take the money from you and will not provide any help. staff are not helpful, ungrommed, Unprofessional, "picking up the call is prohibited". You can call for help they will not pick because it's prohibited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ there communication is really appalling. There are 3-4 numbers on the website , e mail address and messaging service ...but no one responds to it . I have been struggling to book a course to complete my Part B of Ref. in PSCRB and PST ,despite paying the full fees I cannot get any response to complete my course. Really in a deplorable state.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last option if your looking for courses. Teaching faculty and class infrastructure is very nice but Practical Infrastructure is not well maintained. Lunch quality is poor. Nearby 1PG is there to stay but Not much market is available. No restaurants there. My visit was just a time pass.
