The worst school. I was cheated by the principal who is only one up for money. The school does not have proper infrastructure running two separate classes in one room. My wards were crying after going to school. I had to take help of local thana. Think twice before approaching this school

My daughter studied in St Mary’s and Jesus School, Bangur Avenue, Block C, Kolkata from class I to class IV. It is an Inclusive school. When the special child inclusive education is introduced in the year 2014, then so many promised has made by the Principal of this school i.e. Parents Teacher Meeting in every month, Swimming facility, yoga facility, speech therapy for Special child, special teacher arrangement during attending normal student’s class for special child, School Transport facility etc. In the first 2 years, when number of special child is less, school management is arranged some of the above said facilities as per their promise but whenever there are so many special child has taken in admission in the year 2016 then School Principal has totally deviate from her promise and concentrate only to raise her income more and more. It is always in her mind that these special child and their parents are in helpless condition, so better to take advantage of this situation. Looking after 1st and 2nd year performance my wife also advised many parents to admit their special child in that school but that was great a mistake. True color of the school is revealed after completion of the first 2 years. In the school, class teachers are never update their day to day class work in the special child notebook, so parents are remain in dark about the study actually done in the class. Sometime class work copy remain empty for some subjects, which create doubt what actually special child do in the school. School Principal has not allow the parents of special child to meet with the normal child who are studying in the same class. It is because, if that was happen then every wrong doing of the school managements and teachers will be exposed all. During admission of special child nearly 30% to 50% amount is charged more than the normal child of the same class, but during the time of providing service, special child are get neglected in the school. For the last 2 years there is no permanent transport facility is provided by the school authority. After 2016 school transport van has withdrawal by the Principal and instruct to arrange own transport for special child as because she is in loss and can’t make more money from that school transport. After that school transport is arranged by Head Special Educator of this school with its own interest but in 2018 he has also told that he has unable to collect special child who are staying away from Dumdum. Swimming class for special child is introduced in 2015 but after 6 months it has stopped and never start again. There is no Yoga, Speech Therapy class has introduced for the last 4 years and Principal is asked for more money to introduce those. To provide some English magazine to the special child, which is actually no use for them Principal has collected money from Parents. Parent-Teacher meeting has conducted only 2 times in a year during the day of result out and in which, Principle is talk with the parents instead of class teachers. Actually every time she wants to hide the things which are actually happening with the special child in the class from their parents. So this is the standard of the Principal and School management of this school. The school management has bluffed the parents of special child like the above said way. Last but not the least that this school have not affiliated with CBSE board. After passing out of class 8, school authority instructed the parents to get admitted in other CBSE affiliated school to appear in the board exam. Just imagine the pain of the parents of the special child after hearing this. Ourselves, the parents of our special child Archisha Bandyopadhyay is requesting to all of you beware of that school and if anyone has already has admitted your special child by mistake must look for other schooling options available in Kolkata for the next year otherwise you will not only danger your child future but also you will loss all your hard earned money.

No individual classes for example class 7 and 8 is sitting in 1 classroom, Boys, Girls and teachers are using 1 washroom, Special child and Normal Student's are sitting together in same classroom(sometimes special students hurts normal students), Teachers behaviour with special students is worst, The way of education is worst. And all Good reviews which are posted in review section is from all teachers of St Mary's & Jesus school those reviews are not from any students all fake good reviews..

School is very much good. We are satisfied from the school. Principal is very good, adjustable and really very much co- operative also. I will recommend all of you to do admission of your child in this school if you want to see your child is progressing... the staffs are also good and the principle mam has good behaviour as well.. They do lots of programs as well as debates and many other function where children participates and develop their knowledge.. They have activities also.. I love this school..

Our so called principal of this school is very lousy and cheap lady she thinks she is very cunning she removed the Facebook page because she got all negative reviews about the school but I want to tell everyone never take admission in this school it will spoil the future of every child. This school is with no infrastructure, no washrooms, no classrooms and even there are no good teachers.

St Mary's and Jesus School is a fraud school. One of the worst school I have ever seen. I am a former teacher at St. Mary's and Jesus school.Bangur. Block C. I worked here for one and a half years before the principal fired me after I asked for my pending salary of the previous four months, despite working from home where I made lesson videos and over 200 worksheets. She lied about not getting fees from the students to avoid paying us our salary. Principal ma'am is arrogant and money-minded. She has asked for money from me and my husband on multiple occasions and yet had the audacity to not pay me my hard earned money. It fares worse as a school where one can send their wards. School is yet to be affiliated to CBSE board. There is no playground and sometimes two-three classes are held simultaneously inside one classroom. It gets very chaotic since one teacher has to alternately teach each class within the same time duration. Also, there is only one elderly male attendant to accompany students to the washroom (common for all students and teachers). There is no female attendant to look after the female students. Most of the times, teachers are expected to pause their teaching and do this job as well. Pay a visit to the school yourself and see how reality is far from the advertisements and hoardings.
