★ ★ ★ ★ ★ St Mary's Orthodox Church is the first Orthodox Church established in Bangalore for the migrant members. The initiation began in 1961 and the first Church was constructed in 1967. This Church continued to serve the community till the beginning of nineties and 1993 the Church was reconstructed and received the name Valia Palli. A kindergarten school is also associated with the Church in caring and grooming the younger generation. The beautiful Chapel with the icons of the saints show the cultural ethos of the Orthodox Church. This Church serves as the epi centre of the Orthodox life in the Jalahalli area. The Church campus is splendid with larger space for the different activities of the community.
