Ancestors of the villagers we're deputed in services of the then Gajapati king of Odisha, basically in the period of Rathipur .There is a patitapaban temple here which was established by Gajapati and had a ritual contact with Gajapati dynasty of Puri via Barunai temple and podasahi of khurda.Current Gajapati Sri Divyasingha Deb has detached the rituals.Here is Majana pokhari once used by Gajapati's family and a vast field of 08 acres once used for funeral of warriers,employees of Rathipur fort and is now used for local people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very traffic conditional area. Useless fellow riders have made the road their father's property. Drug abused persons are increasing here. That's why 14 speed breaker are made in 500 meters road.
But still this place has a fame. There are many v. I. P s are living here. It is famous for its panchudola melana which is organized in between the month of february and march.
