They focus on educating children and college students on how to take care of and be kind to animals, respect the environment and nurture the Gifts Nature has provided us with. Inspired by its motto and mission towards animals and nature, I joined STRAW as a volunteer in 2021. And it's been a wonderful experience being part of their events, webinars and campaigns. I have learnt a lot being a part of this organization and also contributing towards it's goal. The leaders at STRAW are the kind and hardworking and take Joy and pleasure in what they do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I worked as an intern at STRAW India about a year back. I worked on the topic of squirrels as I have experience in taking care of squirrel babies that fall off from their nests. During my internship, my hidden talents emerged, my creativity found a boost and my knowledge about the subject expanded. This was mainly because I was guided and encouraged at every step. I was greatly appreciated for my work and inputs. I felt the truest form of myself while working here and I would like to continue helping the organization in the future as well.

I get to know more about how I could help the voiceless so that they could stay safe and healthy. People here are amazing and would help you and encourage you to do more for the strays. Overall it is an amazing place for an animal lover if you are willing to work or contribute towards the strays.
The main work STRAW focuses on is the animal welfare awareness and educational programs for children so that they could become compassionate citizens towards strays and every other animal.

STRAW India is its trustee sponsored self-funded NGO, which receives a trickle of donations from individuals, who appreciate the power of bringing in the societal change through awareness and educational initiatives.
STRAW India's pursuit of Humane Education through CBSE Teacher's Training Manuals; State Boards Curriculum; Lessons & Workshops at Large Number of Schools, Panel Discussions at Colleges and Presentations at Residential Societies has been widely received across the length and breadth of India. It has further led to STRAW India’s humane messages having a multiplier effect, through every student who is exposed, in turn influencing their friends and families, to be kind to animals and protect the environment, in our beautiful and bountiful country.
