★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is substantial rise in crime activities (Mobile snatching, suicides, murders, extortion) on Sinhagad Road, Nanded Phata, Pune. This area has matka playing zones and country-liquor licensed shop. Majority of them are "criminals in making" and in the age group of 16-35. Most of them work as helpers, waiters, auto/taxi drivers or jobless. I have seen motor bikes sitting triple seats, riding carelessly with loud modified silencers. Some motor bikes don't even have number plates! Many of them living in flats without rent agreements. Police should do following things to curb rise in criminal activities. 1. Dismantling of modified silencers with heavy fines. 2. Sending notices to flat owners for allowing tenants without agreement. 3. Rounding up history sheeters 4. Paying attention to complaints. 5. Taking input from shop keepers who might have experienced extortion threats. 6. Surprise visit to sensitive areas without using siren. I am writing this from my own experience dealing with them. I feel major problem with today's youth is lack of education and very bad unethical parental upbringing.
