★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place. I had dinner here 4/5, take aways numerous times. Good preparation & time taken for preparation fair enough. Good clean environment. Recommend for family n kids also. Prices are ok as far as MY POCKET.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality with quantity at slightly higher price served here. But for maintaining quality of food, little hike in pricing is acceptable. Recommended to all, if u r looking for hygienic street food and sweets. Parking is biggest issue at most of their outlets, the situation is slightly better at dangqwali outlet, u can always slide in ur car along road side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried most of the items...some taste good some average. But main issue is that this restaurant is very costly. Everything is overpriced and is not up to mark. Suraj is only hype. Seriously they should reduce price. In Hamirpur there are many restaurants, just explore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For Chaat Lovers I must say " Oonchi Dukan Fika Pakwan".
This review is based on the single visit to Suraj Restaurant. First of all they have sitting arrangement in first floor but they too have in ground floor. So we opted to sit there( ground floor), staff was watching us sitting there, once we sat, one of staff member came and told Sir please go to first floor we dont serve here. That was quite embarrassing for us cause in this case they should have kept a board or a person who will be guiding the customers. But they were waiting and watching faces till we sat there. This could have taken as suggetion for guidance of customer.
Now coming to food and beverage part. One liners is " they have pathetic chaats and Golgappa taste ". They only have sweet curd / yogurt to serve in chaat. Also green Chutney amount is very very less in the chaat. Surprisingly they do not have Red chutney at all ? being a chaat lover i never had any chaat without red chutney in my life. Only thing it have was sweet curd sweet curd and sweet curd. No topping too.
Golgappa Part : Golgappa spicy water they were serving in disposable glass from which water was leaking in whole plate. They could have serve this in glass jar or steel jar.
Last thing i had was Oreo shake, reason behind this Oreo shake was, i wanted to have a thick drink, but once again first time i had watery oreo shake in my life ? no taste only water content.
I do not have tasted sweets yet may be those are better. But chaat experience was very below to expectations. If someone says they have best chaat believe me that person never had a good chatpati chaat. May be when we visited they have their bad day on Chaat.
Hopefully they will improve if feel they required.
We had Dahi Bhalla Chaat, Papri Chaat, Raj Kachori Chaat, Golgappa and Oreo Shake.
AC was also not working when asked to turn on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very nice. Proudly saying that suraj restaurant gives feel of big city restaurants. Sweets are also good. Way of dealing with customer is very good. One suggestion from my side that try to attend every customer at the entry door and send him to demand related counter .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As Suraj has gained a lot of brand value in Hamirpur in past 2-3 years, I went there with lot of expectations but if you're from a metro city then you would find this place quite average (in terms of taste). I would strongly recommend their management to work on their staff behaviour as they usually ignore guests and sometimes raise their tones too.
If you're a South Indian or lived there then you won't like their south Indian dishes at all. Chaat and North Indian food was so-and-so.
