I got Harjeet reference from a friend who'd perhaps used his services for her mother last year. When i first called him, he offered to come and check my mother and then suggest what all maybe required. My primary requirement was a Reliable 5lpm Oxygen Concentrator. He came over to my house at the appointed time 11:30am and I paid him cash of Rs 550/ MRP for a (140*100cms) mattress protector, and I thought he was a wholesaler. That said we decided that he would install a Philips 5lpm OxygenConcentrator for my 92 yr old Sr Citizen mother on 27November 2018 @ Rs 3000/m rental all inclusive. What came instead was an old Airsep VisionAire5LPM with a bottle holder that was broken. His staff also pawned me off with a refurbished bottle for a new new bottle price Rs500/ saying "most customers buy a new because of infection issues". I did argue with Rakesh, that infection if travels would go through the Oxy Nose Prong. That should be new. But bottle unheard of. However when someone sows a sead of doubt in your mind wrt your loved ones health, you do tend to fall a prey in their hands. So i ussued him a chq of Rs 3500/ (including the glass bottle). However soon after Rakesh left, the electric tape he had borrowed to tape the bottle to the machine started peeling off. And the green light that indicates oxygen flow turned into amber and then shut off. Somehow night passed praying to god that my mother remains stable. Morning when i reported these to Mr Harjeet. He pounced on me saying, "Why should the TORN bottle holder bother you so much? Why should the Amber light or no light bother you so much?" And he threatened to pick up the machine without any backup, furthering verbatim. "I DONT HAVE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUERIES AND THIS way we cannot CATER TO YOUR NEEDS, YOU PLEASE TAKE FROM ELSEWHERE, ILL PICK UP MY MACHINE, madam". Sending me into a drive to restart my search for a suitable vendor. I had called off the vendor contract with another O2 dealer only on the assurance of Mr Harjeet. And since he came with a reference I thought he'd be more reliable than others. However references cannot change the basic nature of a person. These people pick orders with tall promises, however they dontbhave backups and therefore this behavior. Advance collected and rest the customer can take a jump. If it was that easy to keep looking for a vendor and keep changing Life Support Machines, dont you think that even the Malls would be having stock to rent them out as OTC.? Such an unprofessional behaviour in Patient Healthcare i feel is most UNPROFESSIONAL, UNACCEPTABLE & UNPARDONABLE. Hon' Union Health minister Mr JP Nadda and Delhi MP BJP Dr Harshvardhan need to put a FULL STOP to such Careless and casual vendors esp in lifesupport systems. INDIA HAS TO COME OF AGE and Vendors be prepared for getting Sued for DISSERVICING at the cost of patients lives, esp in Life Support Care. Copying to DCP, SED & SHO LN for NA.
