★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the Himalayas , Surkhanda Devi temple sits on top of the Saklana range as a crown. Situated 5km from Dhanaulti(a small yet beautiful village in Tehri district.). The journey to the temple is almost one hour by foot and a bit tiring but once on top you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Temple also offers the very beautifully preserved culture of Garhwal region,every now and then you will be witnessing one or another Devi (Indian Goddess) roaming on the grounds of the temple and blessings their people. And in winters this place is nothing less than heaven as it's completely covered with snow.
