★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suryoday society as it's known in the town is Asia's biggest co-operative housing society. There are 655 plots originally meant for bungalows, later on many of them were redevelopment as the apartment buildings. The society consists mainly of four areas: Kansai village, Sai Section, Kher Section and Vadavali. The geographical area is spread over 101.6 acres or 4 km sq. Only Kansai is far away from the Ambernath station. The beautifully planned society is nestled in the greenery and it's a better place for joy walk or jogging. The society area feels deserted after 8pm as the residents prefer staying at home after evening. Suryoday hall, Heramb Mandir, musical garden, Sahitya Udhyan are some of the popular spots in the society... By the way it was established on 2nd April, 1947 in British India...
