I totally agree with and vouch for the 2 reviews previously entered here. If you are ever at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and need services, avoid the Taj India Tours booth like a plague. The agents are sleazy. On November 2, 2016, my husband and I, through no fault of our own, were stuck for an extra night in Delhi so we decided to find a hotel to rest. Unfortunately the Holiday Inn Express onsite at the airport was full. It was 3:00 am, so we went to the Taj India Tours booth at the airport to ask if they could book Holiday Inn for us (about 2 km from airport). We said we needed airport transfers and breakfast buffet included. The agent (by the name of Shyam) said he could get us hotels "just like" Holiday Inn with free hotel transfers and breakfast, and closer to airport. This was our first trip to India and it was displayed on the booth, that the business was approved by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. There were 3 agents in the booth but Shyam was the one who pushed the Indian hotel. He showed us a few photos of the Alpine Tree hotel on his computer screen and the hotel looked ok. We asked him what time breakfast would be served because we thought it would be 04:00 before we could sleep so we wanted to make sure we would not miss it. He initially said 07:00 to 07:30. After we asked to clarify if there was only a 30 minute window for breakfast, he called the hotel and they told him 07:00 to 10:00, so we agreed. It was after we paid 11,500 rupees (roughly USD172) for the room that we discovered the hotel had no shuttle. The agent, Shyam, hailed us a rickety taxi and assured us not to worry as he would escort us to the hotel. On the way there, we asked why he could not just book us at the Holiday Inn and he said this hotel was closer and again stressed it was just like Holiday Inn. The Alpine Tree was nothing like Holiday Inn, not even remotely. The staff could hardly speak English, which explained why Shyam came with us. Apparently, the rooms were not cleaned or made up until they had guests, so we had to wait for them to mop the floor and make the bed. We asked where breakfast would be served and the hotel staff gave us blank stares, so Shyam said he would provide breakfast for us in our room. By the time we were taken to the room, it was almost 04:30 and we were too tired to complain about the still wet floor and the lack of bed cover on one of the 2 single beds they hastily pushed together to make a king-sized bed. No toilet paper in the room and despite asking, it was not provided. My husband had to walk down 3 floors to ask for bottled water. We collapse into the bed with threadbare sheets. At 09:00 we went down to ask about breakfast and they took our order. We were told to wait in our room. We reminded them there was no toilet paper in the room. Breakfast came soon enough (the puri was actually quite good), but still no toilet paper. We asked again, and 5 minutes later, the staff brought the paper but told us our airport taxi was waiting. At 10:00, we left the Alpine Tree, almost exactly 6 hours after we arrived. We spent USD172 for 6 hours in a hotel that insulted Holiday Inn, by making the claim that it was like Holiday Inn. To be fair, the hotel did not make the claim. It was (shameful) Shyam, of Taj India Tours. We had told Shyam the night before and we also explained to the hotel staff -- although we doubted they understood us -- that it would have been ok, if we were told the truth so we would know what to expect (and could decide how much we would pay) but the claim of being "like" Holiday Inn was preposterous. On our taxi ride back to the airport, we could see in daylight that Alpine Tree was actually further from the airport than the Holiday Inn. To end this long story, I say again, avoid Taj India Tours like a plague. I don't know if Shyam was the only sleazy agent but the other two just stood aside and smiled when he sold Alpine Tree to us.

The airlines ticketing counter of Taj India Tours at near 3C gate in Terminal for Arrival in Kolkata NSCBI Airport is worst kind of travel agency operation. The ticketing staffs have very poor knowledge in tourism sector with having misguiding approaches to airline passengers. They always try to put the passengers in confusion with overcharging the value of tickets, providing wrong information regarding travel planning, currency exchange etc. etc. So, be Careful while booking tickets at this counter.

Overcharging airfare (cut throat) at the Delhi airport t3 counter by Taj India Tours. No proper invoice provided for the airfare paid. A normal/dummy editable printout. Request the senior staff to have a look at it or is it a simply a hand in gloves. Also Request the airlines to have their own booking/enquiry counters at the airport in place of these looting tours&travels

I had a terrible experience with this agency at the New Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport. I forgot to buy a return ticket to prove I would leave my country of destination and found myself in the obligation to buy a ticket at their agency. They took advantage of the situation to charge me the double of the current price market, and directly lie to my face pretending they were taking no fee from it. The airline was astonished by their methods. Sadly, I received zero cooperation from them when I asked well in advance a refund. I understand that's just business but I can not recommend enough for western travelers to avoid this agency.

Taj India Tours is the fraudster Company. They highly overcharged tickets and fooled the customers at Airport. They only know how to loot the passengers in their critical situation. Taj India Tours should be shut down by Authority of Tourism department of Government otherwise they will continually loot all the passengers by charging throat cut prices of tickets. Strict action should be taken against Taj India Tours Immediately.

I have document to proof. Indian goventment has to take srick action to avoid this type thing. I visited to India to buy machinery from India. How can trust about Indian people. I have to think abuot other Indian suppliers. They also may be like this. I came from Sri Lanka. To where can I complin this.
