★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a good restaurant, compact. This was our second visit. We had opted for the Mumbai festival voucher so had limited menu of Punjabi cuisine. The cream of mushroom + chicken soup and the veg clear soup were delicious. The veg and the non-veg main course were tasty too albeit a little in the spicy side. The tandoori rotis served were hot and crisp. This was followed by plain rice and dal. The surprise was the desert - the moong dal halwa! This was really delicious.
Overall a nice experience again if you go with limited expectations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where could I possibly start?! The location, the ambience, the hospitality was top notch. Then came the food.... We ordered paneer tikka and veg. biryani (which was the chef special).... As soon as the food arrived, we were served by Survesh. His service took the experience to a whole new level. The paneer tikka was , indeed, mouth watering and exquisite. Perfect blend of spices and smoky tandoori flavour but we didn't know that what was coming was much more than this. We were served Veg biryani..... Who says that biryani can't be veg. You must try out this here. One of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Our compliments to Chef Anil for cooking us such a great meal. The accompaniments were as good as it can get papad, pickle, mix veg raita and mint chutney. They refill the goodness too....
The cherry on the cake was 'Fresh cut Alphonso Mango with Vanilla Ice cream'.... I can't remember when have i had such a hearty meal before. I would definitely visit Tamarind soon.
Lovely and rememberable experience....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had Been to Tamarind Restaurant yesterday for the first time after the lock down. Am a regular there from 1999. The service was excellent but disappointed with the food. Parsi food festival is going on. Neither was the parsi food tasty nor the normal dishes. Had an extremely sweet Dal Makhni for the very first time. Not worth at all. The spread has also reduced. No fresh juices and even deserts were dry
