Especially, The Dalabehera of Tapang was a phrase, which Britishers were afraid of and were concerned. They had to fight with tooth and nail to win this area over the local people.
Finally the British took it over, but history remained a witness that, Kburda fort was the last Independent fort of India during British rule.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a Good Railway Station, comparwtively very small but one of the knowned Railway Junctions. Although the superfast trains and expresses doesn't stop here.. But the passenger trains usually stop here. It has a good environment there. Complete greenery, Fresh air to breathe and people there are quite helpful. Alot of people come from there to sell coconuts ?, ice apples, and sometimes the greenery vegetables. Overall its a good place to go.
