★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tapovan is the place of the confluence of two rivers, Kapila and Godavari. Lord shri Ramchrand, Mata Sita and brother Lakshaman had spent maximum time of exile for fourteen years. More importantly, Tapovan is also said to be the place where Lakshaman once resided and where he famously cut the nose of shurpanakha, the sister of the king of Lanka, Ravana. The place has several famous temples of Hanuman and Lakshaman. It lies beside the silently flowing Godavari River with dense woods that remind us of the wild jungle where sages once meditated.

Tapovan consider devotional,religious place in nashik,according to some scriptures like ramayana and other etc,
It was said that Lord Rama,sita and Laxmana was staying in Tapovan when they was in the phase of exile.
Also tapovan is situated on godavari River bank
