★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually take the bus to Bishnupur from here. Lots of small restaurants and fruit stalls around the bus stand. Restroom/toilet (pay and use) available. It's clean.

It is one of the major tourist and holy place of West Bengal as well as Eastern India. Tarakeswar is a place of pilgrimage of Lord Shiva sect in West Bengal 58 kilometres away from State Capital Kolkata.
The Temple history⬇️
The temple is believed to be constructed in 1729 AD by Raja Bharamalla Rao. Taraknath Mandir was built in an 'Atchala' structure of Bengal temple architecture with a 'natmandir' in front. The temple features four roofs above the sanctum and extended galleries for the congregation of the devotees.

The Taraknath temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva worshiped as Taraknath, is a major pilgrimage spot in the town of Tarakeswar, West Bengal, India. Built in 1729, the temple is an atchala structure of Bengal temple architecture with a 'natmandir' in front. Close by are the shrines of Kali and Lakshmi Narayan.

Bus and others cur is all times available. All route bas is available. Water system is available.. Tarokeswar Railway Station is besides tha bus stand. All route bus easily available in day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tarakeswar is famous for Lord Shiva or Taraknath. Tarakeswar bus stand is very large area with all types of fecility are available here . There are two bus stand in Tarakeswar one is old another is new . New bus stand is for tourists and travelers . All local and express bus are departure from old bus stand . You can get mio amore , suger and spice , resturant , hotel etc . One negative side is at the entrance of the bus stop there often I see some garbage heep and that produce foul smell.
