The cafe, tucked in an old residential neighbourhood near Gol Park, welcomes the visitors with a humble yet creatively, carefully and tastefully decorated interior. True to its name, the place tells the stories of tea, cups, kettles and saucers that lend a special charm to the cafe. On a hot and humid Kolkata day, their detox tea - subtly flavoured with an assortment of Indian spices, (very different from the masala tea variety) can make you feel as light as a dewdrop. It caters to those who prefer to keep their adda sessions a private one (far from the confused hubbub that tends to spoil the rendezvous in the swanky modern cafes) and have a plenty of time on their hands. Enjoy the tales that the hanging cups n kettles pour out over a cup of pure Darjeeling Tea and a wide range of quality snacks.

It was a nice experience in tea time stories. Its a small but very homely cafetaria. Cold tea section was excellent..Though situated in gali, it is a must visit cafetaria..

Pretty, comfy place, but a bit hidden from sight. Had to look around and ask people to see it, no visible banner or direction signs. The Iced Lemon Tea was refreshing. Fish Fries were good. Friendly staff. Friendly for the pocket too.

We invited our friends after going through their timings, after reaching there, it was closed. Tried calling them many times, after 5th or 6th call, a lady picked up & laughed at us when we questioned why it's not mentioned on any site that the cafe remains closed on Sundays.. She simply said, she has no idea why it's showing like that. We were embarrassed like anything infront of our friends. Very much unprofessional attitude..

If you are a tea lover then definitely this should be your halt. Close to Golpark, yet can be tricky to locate. They have quite a good variety of tea. But the joint doesn't have a good deal of options as far as food is concerned. Moreover they need to work in their service, very slow.

This is nice place to hangout with friends for an hour with a cup of tea or coffee they have various kinds of tea and you can also buy tea packets . This is basically an apartment converted into a nice and cozy cafe . This place doesn't have any crowd . We went there in afternoon and it was only me and my friend and we chatted for hours . What we ordered shepherd's pie - from tea time stories which was a layer of mashed potatoes , chicken and chesse Overall this was a good dish a lot better from the other things we had there . Though the layer of mashed potatoes was way too much and the layer of chicken was way too  less . This dish is enough for two people Chicken and egg sandwich- It was a regular one and was not properly stuffed also was a little bit dry too. It was the kind of sandwich one can easily make at home and the cost would be much less . The price was a bit high compared to it's quality . In simpler sense , it was not worth the price . Blueberry ice - not recommended
