Nothing much to see... it's better to visit Ambazari lake..very dirty and drive to Lake is not so pleasent.

Nice place for outing and chilling, just don't go on rainy days. And stay away from the muddy areas

This lake is one of the most popular boarding spot in and around Nagpur city in Maharashtra state of India. However, due to construction activity of the offices and industries coming up in this Special Economic Zone the habitat of birds and animals in an around this area have suffered a lot and continue to be suffering. These days the security deployed on the roads of Mihan do not allow birders to go near this place which is a big loss for birding and wildlife enthusiasts of Nagpur. This lake and its surrounding swampy and grassland habitats are home to numerous species of Aquatic Birds, waders, grassland Birds, scrubland birds as well as arboreal birds. During winter Maine species of migratory birds such as ducks and pochards visit this Lake from faroff of Northern latitudes. You can also see sandpipers, herons, egrets, storks, beefeaters, snipes, larks, terns, robins, francolins, quails and some species of raptors such as shikra, short toed snake eagle, kestrels etc around this lake. If you are lucky hai na you may also be able to see some wild animals around this area. Sambhar, Cheetal deer and wolves have been reported from this area earlier. The biggest set to the burden animal Habitat in an around this area are the construction workers and truckkers who have arrived in this area along with the industry. For nature lovers it is painful to see so much of pristine bird Habitats being destroyed to set up industry and offices. Not only the words but the natural beauty of this place is also mesmerizing. The sunsets are so beautiful that it would be hard for anyone not to fall in love with this lake. I am attaching of few landscapes and Bird photos I took at this place.
