Thakur P.G. College of Education has established different educational institutions functioning under the name of Thakur P.G. College of Education. At present, the College is imparting education programmed Medical or Education Programs (M.Sc. in Physics , Chemistry, Botany, Zoology Mathematics) Veterinary B.Ed. M.Ed. and M.Com.
The campus located at NH-503 Kangra Road Dhaliara. Thakur P.G. College of Education in a serene surrounding with Pong Lake and snow mountains in front one living surrounding in the back which it and an ideal place for learning that facilitate creative thinking. The College has an outstanding institution with a built-up area. It has spacious accommodation with three blocks building and in each block, there is a sufficient number of the water cooler and Toilet for the students. Further, it is equipped with adequate/spacious laboratory labs, computer labs, ICT Lab, a very well-stocked library, and adequate furniture, and a big playground. We have well qualified and experienced faculty. Our College is an autonomous non-profit making, a non-government organization devoted to the promotion of education to the students belonging to the hard rural area of Himachal Pradesh and other states. It is established with the purpose to uplift the weaker section of society and to raise the standard education. The institution has its own land 3 Hectare with a total constructed area of 5000 Sq. Mtrs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The local scenery is beautiful but let me tell you there is nothing intellectual in this college. Study hard and go for some other Universityo college . Not this. At the time of admission,they took 500 rupees prospectus. LET ME TELL YOU THE PROSPECTUS WAS 2 3 YEARS OLD. AND IT HAD BARELY LIKE 20 PAGES ALL BLACK AND WHITE, THAT TOO WITH A LOT OF MISTAKES IN IT. THEY LOOTED MY FATHER. THEY JUST WANT TO LOOT YOUR MONEY . NEVER STUDY IN THIS STUPID COLLEGE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apart from the great building infrastructure, what matters is the quality of education in which I believe, they still have a long way to go. From my personal experience, the teachers here could do a course or two on professionalism, time management, human resource management and most of important of all, use of technology. Many teachers suck way worse at using technology to educate students and whats worse is that providing study material to students is done in a very improper and casual manner. Many times student's study related queries are left ignored and unanswered despite the student's continuos trial to reach out to the teacher asking for clear communication and study material. But instead of that, the teachers hardly realise they are responsible for the students growth and education and of course, they have proved this themselves. And whats even more shameful is that, some incumbent teachers are boastful about how they had brilliantly carried out their duty, it's really pathetic. Ask any student about all the above said, mind you, who is not pressurised by subject gradings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an ex-faculty, I would STRONGLY advise against taking admission in ANY course in this institute. I am stepping on a lot of toes stating this, so here are some of my experiences:
1. The faculty is highly exploited and the management 'forces' them to extort money from the students in the lieu of heavy fines over minor offences. Furthermore, if an employee is underpaid, he/she would take out the frustration on the students sometimes (not all of us do this but this does happen).
2. The head management is composed of people who have served a heavy prison sentence (IPC-420: Forgery of documents). Imagine the plight of students who pass under the supervision of such an anti-social person.
3. In my course, the students were charged 10 times (this is NOT an exaggeration) the price for course curriculum books. The fees here is among the highest in the field just because the infrastructure is "good".
There are still a lot of points to share but I think I have made myself pretty clear. If you love your kids, please go somewhere else.
It was my moral obligation to warn you. ?
