★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This station is operated in two local lines namely-central(cst-kasara/khopoli/karjat) & trans-harbour(thane-vashi/panvel).. some mails of central line also have thane as their stop...Trains going to Goa divert after thane instead of coming to Kalyan..There are mainly three bus depot's(all of them in west) one is just outside the station, other above the ticket counter and third is few minutes walk from station known as Cidco

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plenty of ticket counters, so good to take a pass or even buy last minute ticket. Just keep changes in handy cause the counters usually keep running out of them. If there is a longer queue, you can take ticket from the counters outsourced by the railways that are just across the street.
