It has a warm peaceful atmosphere and the owner is most kind and very knowledgeable about thankas. She has high quality thankas and also the commercial paintings available which makes it accessible for all budgets.
Indeed, without a doubt, a must visit place while in Mc Leod Ganj.

She can guide you in choosing your Thanka. You will find also find gorgeous jewellery, amazing incense, real amber, prayer flags, and the list goes on and on. There are many treasures in this shop suiting every type of budget. This hidden gem is a must visit when you are in Mcleod Ganj ! It is definitely not to be missed and should be on every travellers list when in the Mcleod Ganj area !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the most amazing experience here. Marleen is so well-versed in Tibetan art and Buddhist philosophy. She explains patiently and is such a kind-hearted beautiful soul. During the pandemic, I bought something from her through her facebook posts and she actually sent a bottle of Himalayan air-no kidding! Her shop is full of knickknacks that suits every budget. A must visit!

A few times I have had to ask advice from the shop owner about what souvenirs to get for friend and family at home and the advice have always resulted in the perfect gifts that have made the receivers very happy! The things I have bought for my self have been in pristine condition and many years later, they still are with me:) No need to say that I can warmly recommend this shop to all who visit Mcleod!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small boutique shop,tucked away in a corner (near Woeser bakery) easy to miss, but I hope you don't. Owned by Marleen, who will guide you in not just buying trinkets and souvenirs and thankas, but she will patiently explain the details about them. Even provide you with literature. There's no pressure to buy anything. The prices are clear, no hassling, and everything is aptly priced.
I honestly don't remember how long I stayed there. But the memory of that conversation is still within me. She's someone who just radiates light. You sure will feel it, even if you stay there for barely two minutes.
Whenever I'll go to Mcleodganj next, this is one place I'm definitely going back to. Beautiful shop run by an even more beautiful soul.

When in McLeod Ganj, make sure to visit „Thankas and Gifts“.
Marlene, the shop owner, is a beautiful soul and she will surely help you to find the perfect item for you.
Being a Buddhist practitioner herself, she has a vast knowledge of Thankhas and
Tibetan Buddhist culture and she personally knows the artists who‘s paintings she is selling.
The prices are reasonable and wether you buy something or not you will always leave her shop with a warm smile in your heart.
I‘ve bought several Thankhas from her over the years and they were all perfect for me.
Once she even went all around town to look for something particular i was interested in. I have also ordered something online from her and it arrived fast and was securely packed.
I highly recommend Marlene’s shop!
