★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has an amazing concept. It is a only veg but the food is delicious. We had Nachos, Mac n Tikka, Veggie Burger and Strawberry Mojito. I loved the Mac n Tikka the most. The only thing I did not like was that their Service was slow. The servers were not prompt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the corn bisque and the organic burger. The corn bisque had a creamy texture with perfectly blended bites of corn. Was quite wholesome by itself if your appetite is less.
About the burger, well, it was huge and came with a tiny portion of fries. I mean I have a tiny mouth. And the two buns were far apart!! I managed to nibble from both sides. The patty was fried to a crunchy crispiness and was quite a handful.
The sad part was that mid-way, I found a hair in the patty. It felt disgusting! A completely good experience ruined because the chefs don't maintain good hygiene :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for dinner last night to 'The American Joint' located on 1st floor, The Capital Building, BKC Road, Mumbai.
This joint is all about Indo-American Food. Its run by 4 young men (best friends) who have turned that "Over the Coffee" talk's into reality in form of this Restaurant. Wisely said " A Lot Can Happen Over Coffee"...!!
Well this joint is 100% purely Vegetarian (Jain Friendly). They use ORGANIC dairy, fruits & Vegetables which add to the flavor of the food. Best part is that the food is freshly cooked in an open kitchen . They DO NOT USE microwaves or artificial additives, coloring's & flavorings. The food really tasted good and I could feel the absence of artificial coloring's & preservatives.
Coming to ambiance, the place is small & casual, can accommodate approx 25-30 ppl, but, well Lit. Good place for family, kids & friends.
Service is good and quick.
Staff is Friendly, helpful & Cheerful. Presentation of food is Really good.
Valet parking is NOT provided by the restaurant, so we had to park a bit far, taking into consideration that Capital building has many good chain of restaurants.
Conclusion :- The place is Pocket Friendly 'Value for money' & surely worth visiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ American Joint got its place at first floor inside the Capital building in the BKC area. As the name suggest they are specialised in the American Cuisine like Burger ?, fries and shakes but they have tweaked many Mexican dishes with the Indian touch.
After so much time got a chance to visit this place with few of my friends and the place is amazing specially IPL season makes it worth going.
They are offering many discounts like if a person is wearing Mumbai Indian jersey person will get a shake free and ROLL N SCORE game in which person have to roll a dice and score some runs, depending on which person will be eligible for some percent discount on the bill.
Place has a theme of green colour with the seating of around 25-30 people at a time, with 2 LCD screens so that people couldn’t miss Any IPL match this season.
Also what makes this cafe interesting is the products they are using is 100% organic and government has produced a certificate also to ensure that and they are constantly updating their menu to allure the crowd.
➖➖Things to try out ➖➖
?Mocktail?
?Razzle Dazzle ⭐️(4/5)
It’s a blend of watermelon ? juice with some lime, mint and masala. Feels refreshing and can be tried to kill the heat this summer.
?Starters ?
?Mountain O Nacho ⭐️(5/5)
In house made corn tortillas topped generously with cheese ? sauce, olives, Mexican beans, tomatoes ?, spring onions, jalapeño and Chinese cabbage.
Quality is huge, can be easily served 2 people.
This is one of the specialised and recommended dish from American Joint and certainly it didn’t disappoint
? Mac and Tikka ⭐️(4.5/5)
Generic Mac & Cheese served with the Tikka gravy. Gravy is made up of blended tandoori tomatoes, onions and cashews cooked with cream to give delicious taste.
It’s beautiful Indian twist given to the America’s most famous Mac & Cheese.
?Falafel Unwrapped ⭐️(3.5/5)
A plate consisting Rice, Falafel, Chinese cabbage with three types of ranch Tahini, masala and garlic along with some Hummus.
Quantity is huge but little confusing to eat.
?Yumosas ⭐️(4/5)
6 Samos served with three different types of filling filled in 2 samosas each.
Fillings - Paneer and chilli (bit spicy to eat), Punjabi Potato (Masala potato filling) and third is Pizza Marination (Mozzarella and processed cheese with pizza flavours)
?Shakes? ⭐️(4/5)
?Oreo Shake
Shake has a thick consistency and high quality chocolate ingredient apart from Oreo biscuits ?. I think some Nutella or Hershey’s chocolate syrup was also added to give the taste of Oreo and chocolate and the thick texture
?Pan shake
White colour shake with the dominant flavour of pan and topped with some whipped cream.
Flavour was not over done which usually makes the drink boring by the time it gets finished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So had happened to visit this joint “The American Joint” last night at BKC as that’s the nearest to my place. Talking about ambience, it’s pretty much casual and basic in green theme and it has live kitchen counter see-through in front of us which is fun to watch while you are waiting for your order to be served: p. So they are not that old set up as such (first outlet i.e. BKC opened in April 2016, followed by Borivali in March 2017 and Thane in December 2017) but have already grabbed enough eye balls in media (Nominated as “Best Vegetarian” outlet twice already in Times Food Awards).
Now coming to what I had:
Mocktails: under this I had Lemonade Stand, Watermelon Lime Spiritizer, Strawberry Mojito Pineapple Julep and Cuban Mojto (Rating 4/5) – These were true to their names & quite refreshing enough.
Shakes: under this we had Cookies & Crème Oreo Shake, Ferrero Rocher Shake, Fudge Brownie Shake, Nutella Shake, Kit Kat Shake and Paan Shake (Rating 3/5): These were somewhat disappointing items according to me which we ordered. Now disappointing because every shake we tried tasted almost same one after another. Same thick chocolate shake with crème on top of it and tib-bits of change based on the shake we ordered. I think they should kindly re-work on the make of their shakes. No doubt they were thick enough to enjoy (I like it that ways).
Hummus to you (Rating 5/5): This is love, by far the best hummus dish I have had & I could not stop licking the plate in which it was served till the end. So basically made with lemon, garlicky chick pea based dip served with whole wheat pita bread. I would highly recommend this to first time goers.
Yumosas (Rating 4/5): They had this unique concept of serving three styles of samosas i.e. paneer and chilly, pizza marinara and basic Punjabi potato based ones. They were mini samosas but however I felt to some extent they lacked enough flavors on overall basis but as they were hot when served just enjoyed them.
Frypenos (Rating 5/5): Another star dish from their place were these. They jalapeno tikkis/poppers had oodles of cream cheese, cheddar cheese and spring onion fritters. It was accompanied by masala ranch sauce which again was a great addition to the dish. I again just loved this to the core as it were extremely melting in mouth from the initial bite itself. Guys do try this one out there.
Garlic Bomb Cheese Bread (Rating 3.5/5): Somewhat like lasagne this was basically bread stuffed with garlic, chilli flakes, marinara sauce and mozerella cheese. I was excited looking at this dish but it somewhat didn’t appeal post tasting as such. May be its just me but I would skip this dish.
Mountain O Nachos (Rating 4/5): Though these were typical nachos we order at many places, I like its quantity served and especially these corn tortillas were their housemade. These were supposed to be topped with olives, spring onions tomatoes charro beans and jalapenos but when the order came we only got olives and jalpenos mostly. However, the quesso cheese sauce made up for the lack of other ingredients.
Hong kong Fries (Rating 3.5/5): These basically were just fries tossed in chili sauce prep. They turned out to be pretty salty and not too crisp enough.
House Organic Veggie Burger (Rating 3.5/5): Fries served with burger were way better. The star i.e. burger was somewhat bland hence didn’t really relish it to that extent. I think may be the patty itself needs more seasoning. I would suggest that to the team.
Ferrero Nutella Mouse (Rating 5/5): Just loved towards the end as this was truly decadent. Just order it and have blast
Blueberry creamcheese Waffle (Rating 5/5): Another show stealer at the end and a must try than usual chocolate waffles.
My overall rating is 4

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I visited with my full family of 6. We ordered all kinds of dishes. Mexican, indian, Fusion, Italian. None were even decent enough to consume except for Indian which was just ok. The branch has discontinued many items from their menu. The staff is rude and impolite. Ambiance Sucks. Cant find a single reason to recommend... Attrocious experience.
