#newplacealertbaner #platebharke THE GREY ROOM is located in Balewadi high street. A newly opened restaurant which serves one of the best prawns/pastas/desserts in pune area. Im usually never into prawns but just cuz ku friends insisted me to try it out thought i should give it a try. When we go for tastings we almost always eat cold food as we spend good 15-20 minutes clicking pics. Chilly Lemon Black prawns i had were so amazing and perfectly cooked that literally made me start liking prawns. Prawns are exceptionally difficult to cook to meet perfection, they must be clean thoroughly, they have to be freshest. What i loved is they didn't go rubbery texture even after eating post 25 mins of serving. Wowwwwwww! The chef's got some serious skills yar. Now my second highlight of the day was this dessert which actually had us fighting till last bite TRES LECHES- This is a Mexican classic milk cake which literally made all of us realise that we never ever ever anywhere had anything close to this "GOD OF DESSERTS" This cake is soaked in rabri like thin mixure, see the air pockets in the picture, those alone are way too difficult to master for any pastry chef, see how easily i could cut into the dessert with a ? spoon and most importantly see our expressions❀️. This place has won my love not just heart. New york cheese cake 1. Omg the generous portion 2. The hight of this cheesecake 3. Baked to perfection 4. Distinct cheese flavor along with minor sourness. Its amazing when you get to talk to a chef who's producing such memorable food. Please try to talk to the chef when you visit the place so you will know the whole journey. Please visit just for "" Tres leches"" and prawns.

Couple of days ago I visited this place to see my friend after a long time. This place is located in Balewadi near baner. We went for dinner at this place and amazed by the mild lighting of the place. It wasn't much crowded and the staff service was good. Coming to food we had black Peruvian chicken tacos, truffle mac and cheese and classic new york cheesecake. The tacos had good crust crunch with juicy chicken pieces and salsa in it. Mac and cheese on the other hand has different level of satisfactory taste with droolworthy flavour and texture. At the end we had new york cheesecake which had very fine texture with the goodness of cheese and moderate level of sweetness. A must visit place in Balewadi to experience good ambience along with soothing music, scrumptious food which can take you to another level of satisfaction.

If you're looking for a great place with beautiful decor and great food then The grey room is for you. The grey room has stunning decor which has antique vibe ✨ and great options for drinks, food and desserts ? we tried some of their delicious dishes and cocktails? Our favourite was Melon basil white sangria ? In starters we loved prawn rawa fry with wasabi mayo ? and sesame crusted pink fish fingers. These were absolutely fantastic. In main course we loved spaghetti chicken and mushroom ragout ? and saoji chicken with roti ? and obviously desserts were shows topper. absolutely loved their tres leches ? it was so spongy and so soft. it was perfect. ? And their Newyork cheesecake is just amazing. If you're looking for an amazing place to dine and wine then The grey room is definitely a place to visit. Happy eating ❀️

Edited review - I see Google has changed the hotel name since the older establishment closed ad a new one has come up here. This review is for the restaurant Dewankhaana. Been there to try out there non vegetarian fare. I had heard good reviews about the Maharashtrian fare. The ambience is good and the seating is well spread out and relaxed. We started with Mutton Chops in Green Chutney and that was indeed ravishing. We couldn't stop our oohs and aahs while devouring those chops. Seldom you get well cooked succulent Mutton. We were now excited what's in store further and ordered Chicken Ghee Roast. Alas that was a bit disappointing. I am used to having ghee roast with ghee dripping all over, if not it's at least juicy enough. This one for some reason was dry and way too salty. The manager mentioned it's modified based on customer recommendations. In any case its not worth the price for 6 small pieces of chicken. We next ordered Shahlyatli Kombi (chicken in a coconut if translated). The description in the menu was that it's the show stopper for Deewankhana and slow cooked in coconut water, coconut milk and all things coconut. I am fond of coconut gravies we get to eat in coastal regions of Maharashtra and this one was also decent. For a change could try. But a warning which the restaurant doesn't give is that it contains more potatoes than the chicken itself. 4 chicken pieces crowded with at least 4-5 big potato pieces. That was bit of a let down. We had ordered Rice flour Bhakri which was passable and not at all tender and fluffy. Still not done we ordered a Mutton pulav, it was a bit dry and the mutton felt a bit uncooked, at least some pieces. The quantity was generous, but tasted good with salad. By itself it was a bit dry to swallow.

This was one of the most happening place in Pune if you want some good retro music, some excellent cocktails, a good variety of alcohol and some great starters. We had been to the Grey Room on its very first day and what a lovely experience. The evening was one of the BEST we had in many a years, the staff is very courteous and always ready to serve with a smile. Unlike other Pubs or Lounge bars in the city which have their Ups ( + )and Downs ( - ), This is one place which I would give a A ++ for it really stands out for their Ambience, Alcohol / Cocktails and their AMAZINGGG Starters. One must try the Mac Cheese Bombers and their speciality in dessert - Tres Leches... I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a memorable evening...

The Grey Room- Balewadi High streets The Grey Room- from their very unique name to their amazing ambience everything stands out about this place. Basics: Mocktails Virgin Colada- Mixed drink of pineapple and coconut cream, had a creamy texture and a wonderful flavour throughout the drink. They also serve indigo and other cocktails. Starters All the starters were just awesome and beautifully presented. Paneer starter - taste of paneer served with green chutney was amazing. Prawns starter - I am big time fan of prawns, just loved it with its crunchy and flavourful tastes. Mains Charcoal Chicken Tacos - First time experience of having a variant coloured Taco.  The Tacos were fully loaded with chicken and salad and tasted great. Mac n Cheese - A cheese full delight for anyone. Saoji Chicken - A bit too spicy ?️?️?️ but perfect for who love to have spicy food. Desserts New york cheese cake Baked with perfection, every bite had a distinct flavour of cheese and it was plated so well that you don't feel like cutting with your spoon.?

I have heard about ' The Grey Room' so, thought of paying a visit. The restaurant go true with the name, as I arrived there stood a huge gate at the entrance which gave those 'Raja Maharaja' feels. There's an interesting trivia about the restaurant, it has a door which actually is 400 year old . It's an antique door. Ambience was awesome, everything arranged systematically. This place is perfect for families as well as couples. One could have their date here and leave with assured second date. The restaurant got a beautiful bar section, one could chill over a glass of cocktail and mocktail. lets talk about food I ordered some starters at start Prawns Rawa Fry with wasabi Mayo Prawns was perfectly fry and good thing about prawns they used fresh so its taste was scrumptious. then ordered Sesame crusted pink fish finger. At single bite of that Fish finger i fell in love with it. (highly Recommended). then ordered Saoji Chicken. Chicken was perfectly cooked and adequate amount of spices added in preparation. Taste of saoji Chicken was spicy and delicious . and last ordered some dessert to fulfill my craving Classic Cheese Cake Tres leches it was like β€œthree milks” and tres leches cake is an ultra light sponge cake soaked in a sweet milk mixture. Overall experience was really satisfactory and happening.

Recently, I visited the grey room and am in totally love with it!! . Ambience~ Fitting to its name, the place is quite cosy and a stress buster one. The pop music themed interior added a lot to the place. They have an open bar for your fav cocktails and mocktails. The seating is quite good. They have various arrangements for group, friends and family and couple as well.Music was quite soothing and went well with my Friday mood. Food~ I must tell their desserts are a must try specially the tres leches and cheescake. They have a range of utterly delicious ones.Do try these if you are a sweettooth The starters nailed the whole meal..I loved the chilli lemon black prawns and the Cilantro prawn cardinal . Overall, it suited me and my friends' mood and taste
