I spent my life basically here. It's my second home.
Do not believe any if the negative reviews put i here . This is the best place you can send your ward to for education.
I'm a passout now and I badly miss every moment I spent out there in TMA .
The Modern Academy was the best part of my life :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here for school during standard 3-6 (2004-2007) and I look back at the time fondly. I believe most of the teachers made a very positive impact into the person I am today.
At that time, the teachers we had were first class, but as I have come to know, after the principal, Subrata Pal, and Lector Mitra left, the school has become much much worse.
The one teacher who is there, Jayanta Karmakar, is the PT + Drawing teacher. I can say this very confidently; he is, hands down, the WORST teacher I have EVER had in my life (even after finishing college). He continually talked in Bengali (even though the medium of teaching is English), expected all students to understand, and when we didn't, beat us regularly.
I've come now to realize that his treatment was well into child abuse territory, and he continually terrorized most students at that point. Sadly, he is still at the school.
Apart from this, there is no playground as such and many of the classes are underground, meaning they become breeding grounds for mosquitoes and bugs. Even at that time, monsoon used to be hell for us, since there would be many bugs just buzzing around at the back of the classroom (if you were unlucky enough to sit there).
The benches were wooden, had developed long-standing cracks and even at that time, the fees were an outrageous 9500 every month.
The school has an ICSE curriculum, and academically, was very sound. The other teachers were really nice, but if they haven't been replaced by similar faculty, I would strongly discourage you from admitting your child here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I studied here for one year, and I can say it's not a good school. Basic amenities are not up to the mark, faculty is poor. The PT + Drawing teacher Jayanta Karmakar is the worst teacher I'll ever have in my life. He used to beat us, give us punishment by kneeling down for an hour or so. When parents complained against him, Principal did not take any steps. Altogether not a good school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a student of this school from 2016 to 2018. Not that good as a school. Although classrooms are A.C. but it's totally locked from four side with no windows and nothing. The infrastructure is very poor. Still some teachers are quite good. Academically fair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great school, everything in this school is so nice from infrastructure to the teachers, it is so nice that the students feel mentally tortured. it is such a school were a twenty marks project holds more importance than 80 marks exam, such a NICE SCHOOL , The air conditioner is so great that students sweat in the class, the door is broken and the window also. #WASTAGE OF MONEY #FUTURE DESTROYED

From junior to secondary and senior secondary all the teachers are just fabulous.. The teachers keep guiding the students until they become dedicated to their studies...
