It's been a long wait for me to visit a new cafe in North Kolkata. While browsing the list of eateries, I came across The Platform Cafe. Located beadon street just nearby area of girish park metro. Now let's talk about the ambience and the hospitality of staffs. Both of them are top notch. The property is quite small, and is compartmentalized into two sitting areas. Coming to the food we tried 1.Cappuchino. Welcome to newly opened small coffee shop in North Kolkata situated in the bylanes of Beadon Street, Hedua close to Bethune College. “Platform Cafe”- this is the name of the cozy coffee shop. ? “The Platform Café “one of the pocket friendly coffee shops in the North Kolkata where every Foodie should visit at least once ❤Being a resident of North Kolkata, whenever I hear North Kolkata, I remember about the small lanes, old British houses, childhood adda places…these things are just mesmerizing…take me back to childhood. The introduction of “The Platform Café” in North Kolkata is blessing for all the people in the area as there is not so many cafes or coffee shops available in North Kolkata where we can spend some time with friends or a quick meet-up♥️

Small, cozy cafe in the heart of North Kolkata with some really good munchies to have while a chit chat with your loved ones.They have a good variety of options to choose from at a very pocket friendly price.They use one of the finest coffee beans so must try out their cappuccino with some lip-smacking fish fingers.

******Hidden Gem Alert****** Overview: February is the month of Love and finding a perfect place for your date is a confusing task. But not anymore for the residents of North Kolkata. The Platform Café a newly opened café situated in Hedua near Bethune School is here in town. The café provides the best cozy ambiance and most importantly provides good quality food at a pocket-friendly price. So, why wait to plan a romantic date with your ‘special someone’. Ambience: The ambiance of the café was very cozy and clean. The aroma of coffee is all over the café. It is a perfect place for an adda session with your mates and also a perfect date place with your loved ones. The café walls are decorated with different paintings. The lighting and soft music complete the whole ambiance of The Platform Café. Now coming to food, I recommend Cappuccino, Chef’s Special Philadelphia Sandwich, Kolkata Bhetki Fish Fingers, BBQ Chicken Wings, Chef’s Special Double Decker Burger, Hot Brownie with Vanilla. I must say all their items were top-notch and very tasty. Chef’s Special Philadelphia Sandwich: The sandwich was very tasty and yummy. The sandwich was filled with chicken sausage, salami, melted mushrooms, and cheese. The portion is enough for one. Kolkata Bhetki Fish Fingers: A very old traditional favorite of every North Kolkata resident. The fish was very fresh and tender. The fish fingers were perfectly deep-fried and crispy. This is a must-try dish from the starter section. Chef’s Special Double Decker Burger: An exclusive and special item of this place. The burger was huge and was like a small burger tower. The burger was very tasty. I must say this burger was quite different from all the burgers I have tasted so far. The burger was filled with Thick chicken patty, Sliced Tomato, and Onion, Lettuce, Cheese, Chicken salami, and cheese sauce. The burger was very yummy. The portion is enough for two. Cappuccino: As a coffee lover, I will recommend this place for the only reason as the café uses Lavazza Coffee. This seed provides perfect strong espresso, cappuccino, and black coffee as well. The coffee has a strong flavor and taste. We also had BBQ Chicken Wings, Creamy Penne Pasta with Coconut Milk, BBQ Chicken Steak Rice with Sauteed Vegetable, Blue Lagoon, and Brownie with Vanilla & Hot Chocolate. This place is a must-visit café. The staff was very friendly and provide quick and quality services. I will love to visit this place again for their every food item was so tasty. It is a pocket friendly place in North Kolkata where every foodie should visit once. The place is beautifully decorated with photo frames. It can accommodate 10-12 people at a time. ♦ Now, coming to the food we had: Cappuchino. The Kolkata Style Bhetki Fish Fingers and Kolkata Style Bhetki Fish Fry were really tasty and it went well with the cappuccino. The Crispy Chicken Wings tasted heavenly with soft and juicy chicken wings, fried to golden brown. Then we had the RoadStar Sandwich which was prepared with veggies and shredded chicken. Some creamy penne pasta tossed in white Alfredo Sauce. The Double Decker Burger was absolutely amazing prepared with onions, semi boiled eggs, lettuce, chicken salami, chicken patty, sliced tomatoes served along with cheese and barbeque sauce. And lastly, we had Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hot Chocolate Sauce. This place is a worth for money and you will never be bored coming repeatedly. ♦ Pocket Pinch- ₹300-₹400 for two approx. It is a small but very cozy place. The ambience is lovely. The staffs are well mannered. If you stay near hedua or beadon street, then the cafe is within walking distance. The foods are reasonably priced.

I recently got a pamphlet from someone and then came to know that I have a cafeteria just 400 mtr from my house. So cant miss that place and visited very next day. Though it was a small place but the ambience is good. The food quality is also very nice. There is a lot of scope for improvement but in initial stage this is good.. The 4th star is for their effort.. Will definitely revisit soon.. ✌?
