★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Rogue Elephant opposite to Krishna Roa Park in Basavangudi is one of the best garden cafes in the city of Bengaluru. Located in a area where there are very few cafes that serve the wide varieties ranging from Italian to Mediterranean and some continental food, Rogue Elephant sure has the perfect food with a beautiful ambiance that one could enjoy. Most of the tables are setup in an open area while there are few options under a roof as well. Getting a seat sometimes maybe tough as they are booked full more often than not.
The Cold Coffee was a perfect blend of milk, coffee powder, ice, and ice cream. There is nothing to complain about this one, sip on this and have a great time admiring the place.
Cajun Fish Fingers with Tomato Salsa was our pick for the starters. The Fish fingers were cooked well and had the right amount of crisp which was not over done. The tomato salsa however was too thick and had a lot of dry fruits which I never expected to encounter in a tomato salsa and that for me was a big no.
Cape Malay Chicken with Yellow Rice is a nice take on the famous Malaysian dish. The yellow rice with onions and chilli was beautiful, the chicken curry was rich in onions, ginger, and garlic. It was the perfect combination with the chicken cubes nicely cut and cooked to perfection.
Aglio Olio is a retro favorite here at The Rogue Elephant. The pasta dish was dominated with the taste of garlic which was too overpowering, a little less would make the dish a lot better in terms of balancing out all the ingredients.
They have a seperate snacks menu from 3 to 6 PM every evening and they are worth a shot as well. The service is spot on, the ambiance is one of the best in the city, and the food is as good as it can get. You can find them at 93, Opposite Krishna Rao Park, Jayanagar, Bangalore. Parking is a challenge here as you cannot park your four wheeler on the main road, so I would suggest you find a spot on one of the side roads and walk your way to this beautiful cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to The Rogue Elephant based on a friend's suggestion and what a gem this place turned out to be.
The place is beautiful with a lot of greenery and I was lick to have visited when it was raining.
Tables are well spaced giving you some privacy and the staff is very helpful with orders and suggestions and super friendly.
The food is quite nice and I would highly recommend the Avacado, Mango and a roasted Almond Salad, the Grilled Baby corn with Lemon and Butter and also the Classic Hummus and Pitta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my 3rd visit to this place, and yet it's still beautiful. Love their ambience, the beautiful greenery all around, it has this amazing vibe of the European / French restaurants. Calm and peaceful, the house which is attached to this restaurant is around 140 years old. It pushes the experience to another level. This place is definitely deserves a visit atleast once, just for the ambience.
Coming to food, they had Brocolli soup as their "Soup of the day". It was good, it actually tastes very much like the cream of mushroom soup which you get elsewhere, only here you get the Brocolli flavour. We also ordered Spaghetti ? Chilli and Pesto, we really loved it. Had an amazing flavour and taste. Not too spicy, just the right spice. It has a good tangy flavour.
Price : It's very debatable at this place, are you paying for the food or for the ambience and I think it's a balance. The prices here are definitely high much compared to some of the other places. 400-450 for a Sphagetti, I'm guessing I was not just paying only the food, paying also for the ambience.
The owner here is extremely friendly, he's made good friends with many, some of his customers seem to be regulars to this place. That's definitely a good gesture. Extra marks for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice place to catch up for a meal. It’s def one of the nicer open air restaurants/ cafes that you visit.
We had two types of salads and chicken appetizers. The avocado salad is really good. The food was overall good. The service fairly decent and the ambience above average.
The seating space is okay for the size of the restaurant. It gets busy so you cannot hang out for a long time.
Street Parking available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very cozy and comfortable place in the heart of jayanagar. The staff was very kind and considerate. The food was lovely but a little pricey. The hummus and pita bread was amazing. Ordered the cheesecake for desert but was disappointed to receive one little slice.
But the ambience is good. Since it is an open place, there will be mosquitoes during the evening. The staff did light mosquito repellentent, but it didn't make a difference.
The place is good for families and is kid friendly.

There are lot of good things about this place...fresh produce used for all dishes, pure fresh juices, yummy taste, very cordial staff and the gentleman who owns this place is amazing. He makes sure to talk to all the patrons present and ensure they get what they want. I wish I had discovered this place earlier! I have already visited twice, plan to take my friends on my next.
