This guy with the beard did a full on 30 min presentation about how great his spices are. Thereafter I was charged 375 rupees for 100g of any mahsala. Only later to find out that mahsala should not be costing more than 70 rupee per 100g. THIS SHOP TARGETS TOURISTS TO RIP THEM OFF. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

You should not visit this place ! You can buy the same spices in the market way cheaper than here. This is Just a rip off. He was triyng to sell us 100 gramm for 400 Inr. Trash Price. Also the atmosphere and feeling in there is bad, because they close the doors behind you. You really should not go there !

One of the most remarkable tourist traps ever. Do not visit! A person declaring himself to be the best one ever on every possible aspect, and running a ahop that needs to shut doors behind customers? Trying to sell Curry Powder 100grams for 350 to 510 Inr? Keeper of commercially very sucesfull recipies still running a backstreet shop? Come on. Let this guy do what ever he wants - but don't buy a single item there.

Rip-off. After a presentation about how great their spices are, how much better they were compared to all the others, we were offered 1g of packaged saffron for 800 rupees. (Of course, there was no price tag on the items.) Haggling, we got that down to 550 rupees. Imagine our surprise where we found the same saffron in the city market later – and we bought it for 180 rupees. It was the same quantity, same brand (not their own), same quality, same effing packaging! Pure extortion. Do your hard-earned money a favour and avoid at all costs.
