★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well known Thursday evening weekly market starts from Govind Puri Petrol pump. The market is also called Veer Bazaar by the locals.
This market is very much popular among the locales. You can see, bargain and purchase almost all common household items to clothings, utensils, toys, street foods, decorative goods, winter wears and locally made metal equipment.
The goods quality is not guaranteed but you can alter your goods in case of any fault in them. Generally fixed sellers are available in all designated spots in the market every week. Moreover, the goods purchased at Budh Bazaar market (another local market on Wednesday only on the main road of Guru Ravi Das Marg), you can also alter them here if you are able to spot the seller. They never deny and generally it is a smooth process. But you can not demand for full refund.
People come here for purchasing of bedsheets, churiyan, low range cosmetics, loose cloth pieces, tubs, spoons and forks, needles, sarees, kids garments, shoes and slippers and even some herbal roots and dry fruits like almond, pistachios, resin, makhani, dates, cashew nuts, nutmegs, spices such as red pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, cloves, ammoniun chloride, common salt, black salt, mineral salts, poppy seeds, star spices (chakri phool), asoefetida (hing), tatri, fenugreek seeds, kalonji, jeera, dhania etc.
