I joined Toastmasters Club of Dwarka in January, and I always believe in Toastmasters no one is perfect and everyone is learning from each other.
Keeping this is mind, everyone can progress leaps and bounds in their career.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a now-funny, then-harrowing experience of stage fright, I searched for a public speaking platform and eventually landed up in TMCD close to my home. It was here that my quest to search for a suitable platform stopped. I attended my first meeting as a guest on 31st December, 2017, a Sunday, 1 day before the New Year at 10 AM in the morning. And I did not miss a meeting after that unless I absolutely had to.
I felt an incredible change take place within myself. I was slowly becoming a different person. My self-confidence improved and I started loving the stage - Me, who got blank on stage because of fear. Today, I live in a different city without the luxury of being a member of TMCD. And I feel the degradation of my public speaking skills because of the absence of TMCD in my routine.
This is one place I will always attribute to whatever success I am able to achieve in my life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leaders may or may not born but they can definitely be made. Toastmasters International lives by its motto of helping people transform into great leaders and of course speakers, helping them overcome glossophobia.
A number of initiatives make TMCD stand apart from the rest. To mention a few, a mentor-mentee program helps a new member with the public speaking journey, 'word of the day' provides you with a new word and enhances your vocabulary and modules that are conducted at regular intervals to fine tune speaking, evaluation and leadership skills.
On the top of it, there is a helpful community of members who are always eager to promote the new members and make them confident with every step. Currently, the club is attended by learned and experienced members who have represented at various levels and brought laurels.
It is said "Whether you think you can, or you cannot. You are always right". Now is the opportune moment to overcome your fears and shine like a star. TMCD, is definitely, the stepping stone to success.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I joined Toastmasters Club of Dwarka in January 2021 after reading about Toastmasters' Club in a few famous books and I must say within a period of 2 months I can feel a sea change in various aspects of my personality.
Specifically, Toastmasters Club of Dwarka is a strong club with a higher number of active members than many other clubs in Delhi NCR and it's it's weekly meetings are attended by a healthy number of participants.
I must also mention that if you are looking for improving your public/interpersonal communication, sharpening your personality, hone your leadership skills and above all if you are interested in uplifting your professional/personal life then Toastmasters Club of Dwarka is the place for you to join to get on a path of growth through collaborative learning in a non judgmental atmosphere. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you really want to improve on your communication and leadership skills, then you must join this Club as it is a very old club with experienced members who are from different professional background and ready to help each other with a common goal i.e. to learn and grow together, and it's the beauty of TMCD.
If you do little hard work and focus on your improvements, you will get rid of your fear of public speaking by giving Prepared & Impromptu Speeches, playing various Leadership roles and participating in various Speech and Evaluation contests.
I read somewhere that the great investment is invest in yourself, and here in Toastmaster's club, you get much more by paying like nothing.

I like the supportive and non-judgmental environment that allows me to develop my public speaking/ communication skills without feeling overly self-conscious when mistakes are made. I never thought that I can write, I can speak in public, I can control my voice. The more I do roles, speeches, I am better and better day by day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read about toastmasters organisation from a book "How to win friends and influence people", the idea behind its establishment was to enable people communicate in an effective matter publicly and TMCD stands true in its commitment of improving communication skills.
Here everyone gets chance to share her views and interact with people from different backgrounds, but also speakers are properly evaluated in terms of grammer, filler words, usage of hands gestures, facial expressions etc. Other than that a mentor is alloted to each member who closely observes a person and tries to help her.
The best part of this organisation is the friendly environment it provides, where people from different backgrounds stands together to help each other. No matter how shy or an introvert you are, you will definitely see a sea change in you within a couple of weeks.
