★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have an hp 315 inktank printer giving me E3 errors..online it is generally encoder strip issues..but this workshop person..told me it is the carriage which is problematic and needs replacement and will cost me 1600 bucks.Also, that the part is not available with him and will have to get it.( Meaning I will have to leave the printer with him). What he did not know, was that I had opened the printer the night before due to some ink spill and tried to clean the carriage with cotton and sanitizer..and I can identify the old carriage with the ink stains on it.
When I recieved the printer after the so called replacement, and a couple of ok test prints at the shop..the problem persisted..although he did try to fix the issue..the problem which appeared with every print, apparently is now with every 5th print. And used to come only with almost one in 200 prints when the printer was all ok and new.In my defence, I asked for the replaced carriage and this guy showed me a carriage similar to what my printer had..but without my identifiable ink stains.
In a nutshell, I will accept, I was fooled by this gentleman and he is no good but a liar. When called and tried to confront humbly by telling him the problem persists, the gentleman has the audacity to tell me that this printer is not meant to handle more than 10 prints in a single command..even laser printers cannot handle more than 10 prints in a command..and was proposing me a 2nd hand laser color printer..

However, if printer has some additional problem, they don't have the expertise.
