β β β β β Tropical Forest Research Institute is located at Post-R.F.R.C., Mandla road, Jabalpur...it works under ICFRE i.e. Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. In this research institute there are number of projects have been completed and there are many ongoing projects on forest plants to improve/develope the important forest plants under different division such as Agro-Forestry, biodiversity and Sustainable Management, Tropical Forest Ecology and Rehabilitation, Forest Entomology, Forest Pathology, Genetics and tree improvement, Non Wood Forest Produce, Silviculture and Joint Forest Management, Extension as well as plant Protection. Each division have different areas of research and development of forest plants. This institute works for various states such as Madhya Pradesh, chattisgarh and Maharastra.

β β β β β TFRI is located at Mandla Road, Jabalpur. There is a huge campus and separate buildings of different departments. Entomology building is different in that different types of dry insects are preserved and picture gallery on animals is also kept. Apart from research work in forest entomology, forestry, plant protection, plant tissue culture, etc., research is also plants and animals living in tropical forest environment.
