ABOUT UMEED
Umeed, established in July 2011 is a registered society that provide services for children and young adults with developmental difficulties.This foundation provides quality intervention for the children while also promoting increased societal awareness and sensitivity towards their needs. The founder of Umeed is herself a mother of a young child with autism and this was the motivating source towards starting of Umeed as she found it very difficult to find services under one roof that would cater to the needs of her child.
Thus in order to fulfill this aspiration has brought together a great team of educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour therapists etc under one roof so that Umeed is able to cater to all deviant needs of our children as well as catering to multiple disabilities like Autism, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Umeed Foundation actually came to us as UMEED...a ray of hope and support. The journey to reach Umeed was painful and torturous due to the insensitive and callous attitude of the staff of VISHWAS, where he went earlier. I was forced to withdraw him and look for an institution where my son could be rehabilitated and help overcome his disabilities.
I heard of Umeed from a friend and meeting the director Ms. Sangeeta Rathi was reassuring due to her supportive nature and her self belief in being able to handle my son. Especially, after we had apprised her of the challenges they will have to surmount if they agreed to take on my son's rehabilitation. Her confidence and attitude is worth emulating as it will ensure success in all walks of life.
3 years down the line, we see that getting my son enrolled in Umeed was the best thing that happened in a long time. A number of his behavioural issues have been corrected, he is more manageable now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There has been no improvement in my child and we don't know if they are doing what they claim because these people are so secretive about what they do inside the closed doors. They don't even allow you inside to see what they are doing with your child. If you demand to see, they will ask you to give prior notice and then stage the viewing which clearly seems fake. In spite of insisting they did not put CCTV cameras. School does not have adequate staff, being in the basement it's quite clastrophobic and murky which cannot be a good experience for special needs children. They won't return the security amount if you withdraw your child after being disappointed.
Please don't consider this place for your child.
