University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established by Kurukshetra University in 2004 with objective to develop as a "Centre of Excellence" and offer quality technical education and to undertake research in Engineering & Technology.
Presently, the institute is offering four B. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering) and eight M. Tech. course in the technically important disciplines Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (with the specialization of Industrial & Production Engg., and Thermal Engg.), Biotechnology and Electrical Engg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established by Kurukshetra University in 2004 as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to provide quality education in engineering & technology fromt he State of Haryana for UG & PG programmes. The institute is serving as a nodal agency for the matters of academic importance like, development of scheme of examination, syllabus, academic plan and maintenance of standards in affiliated Engineering colleges and is headed by Director and Dean Engineering & Technology. On the basis of academic strength and considerable expertise available in university departments, UIET decided to start B.Tech. degree programme in the technically important disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering was added during session 2007-08. Initially, it was also decided to start M.Tech. degree programme in Microelectronics & VLSI Design has since being transferred to Electronics Science Deptt., K.U.K. and Software Engineering. Presently, the Institute is also running M.Tech Program in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Biotechnology w.e.f. from academic session 2009-10. The University has constructed a separate building for UIET with all amenities and modern laboratories, workshop, library and classroom & 6 seminars halls facilities.
