★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best boys school in Howrah, Hooghly even North 24 parganas. Teachers are very much corporative and helpful. Best part is big play ground, specious class room (Gallery type), school canteen and Teachers vs Students friendly match. Proud to an Ex-student.

It was established by Babu Jay Krishna Mukhopadhyay and Babu Raj Krishna Mukhopadhyay on 16/05/1846. It is one of the best school and oldest school in Hooghly district. It is a boys and purely Government administered school. It is affiliated by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Few notable alumni are Biman Bagchi, Theoretical Chemist at IIS, Abhas Mitra, Theoretical Astrophysicist at BARC, Kingshuk Dasgupta, Material Scientist, BARC, Arindam Khan, Theoretical Computer Scientist at IIS etc etc.
