★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, it's a renound Library in India and it also has known globally. Many foreigners use to do their research work here. Our Ex Hon. President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee's cousin sister works many years here as a Head.
Nevertheless, in this Decade Old Library there are many historic personalities came. It's one of the pride of the city Uttarpara.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming here since a decade or may be more. Changed and got renovated... Still some work is going one. One of the famous library in West Bengal as well as in India, many freedom fighters and President of India have been here, one of the finest historical place. However the attached ground is in a very very bad shape and nothing us being done for that, could have been a ground to play district and state level football matches. Having said that, this is one such place where you should come and visit at least once if you are in Kolkata. I stay just 10 mins walking distance from here and been coming here since my childhood days hence a very nostalgic place for me. Thanks to all

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ May be the oldest library in Bengal. Very good collection of rare books & was visited by all bengal renaissance visionaries. But now registering as a new member in the library is nearly impossible due to numerous laws & red tapism.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place for reading books and calming one's mind. If you're not a fan of books still this place holds a lot of value. It's got a nice garden, play fields, bank of river Ganga and heritage building. So it's an ideal place for morning or afternoon walk, children can go and play, read books and many more. Last but not the least, the construction of the main building itself says a lot, if you're fond of photography definitely you can visit here.
