This place is good but the maintenance is worst level. Everywhere spread scrubs, plastic bags, even though clothes also. And the main thing the beer bottles are found in most of the places. Iam truly imbalance with this place. ??

Vairagad Fort is famous for it’s ancient Temple & fort. On the bank of river Khobragadi and Sati, an ancient fort of Nag kingdom. Accourding to Italian survey, there may be diamond mine. The name Vairagad to be a corruption Of ‘ Vajrakar ‘ meaning ‘ Diamond mine. The village Vairagad is surrounded by security wall of fort.It has been identified by some as being the same as Viratnagari of the Mahabharat where the Pandavas passed in hiding the period of their exile in disguise. About half a mile to the south of Wairagad is a small temple of Bhadresvar crowning the top of a small hillock. It is probably quite antique and bears great resemblance to the style after which the Markandeya temple at Markanda is built.

Not properly maintained. Only high interest people may visit. Otherwise don't go to see that single place in a trip.

Best place to revisit history... 1)virat kings fort .dates back to 5th century... 2)modified in mughal/bridshahi rule later by britishers.. 3)Medivial diamond mines, now ruins are left to tell us the story... 4)villagers says , the treasure is hidden somewhere... 5)beware of indian wild bears ,they are hidden in the forests nearby... 6)you can see the ancient baawadi बावडी,ie ,well with the housing and secret path,there..! Have a good time...!(#couple_friendly?)
