★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well kept wildlife sanctuary in the centre of the capital city of Bhopal.
The park which is more popularly known as just “Van Vihar” is considered as a “must see” destination for tourists visiting Bhopal. The characteristic combination of rich wetland areas, meadows, pools of water at different places, rugged slopes, mixed bamboo vegetation along with grass covered plateau and areas of mixed plantations support the rich floral and faunal diversity in the area.
This green oasis amidst the city of lakes also plays a very vital role as a carbon sink contributing to environmental health of Bhopal. It is situated right next to the famous Upper Lake of Bhopal also known as the “Bada Talab” which is a Ramsar Site and one of the two lakes of Bhoj Wetland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful and close to nature. One can feel like jungle, prefer cycle to roam around which is available inside the park for rs 20 rent. We have seen here jackal, bear, tiger, white tiger, tortoise, snakes, crocodile, deer, leapord.

There are multiple options to explore this place. You can either take your own vehicle and explore the roads amidst the National park or you can rent bicycles or you can go for their Safari.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Van Vihar National Park Bhopal's very famous wildlife park, Where you can see the wildlife very close by, you can see them, you can even touch some of the creatures.
A ticket of only 20 rupees seems to be an Indian citizen, out of Indian ticket charges are high, I can't remember otherwise I would have written, This Van Vihar is spread over a very large part according to which it becomes very difficult to walk on foot, so there are also arrangements for bicycles for tourists
By paying its charge, you can also see it on the cycle and if you are aware of your vehicle then you can also go inside with it by paying the charges.
Wherever I see wildlife park or whatever, my favorite is always 2-3 animals which are tigers and lions: I can see this, my money gets recovered.
Surrounded by Upper Lake, this park shares its views in the morning and evening, which looks very beautiful.
Whenever you go to Bhopal once, coming here will be a different adventure with you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drive through experience was awesome . U can take your own vehicle and drive . Got to see many animals. Best were white tiger . Bengal tiger , Lion and Bear. Preferable time to go in Summers are after 5 pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to complete the whole place, then you should visit the place by car or hire a bycicle. Entry fee for one person is Rs 20. You have to book the cycle at the ticket counter and take it from inside the cycle stand. Cycle charge is Rs 20/-. It was really fun to explore the whole Van Vihar by cycling. It's a huge area. I will definitely suggest to get a cycle for proper enjoying of the place. We spotted tigers. There was a snake house. Few Boas and cobras are there. Overall nice place. Must visit if you are interested in wild life and want to explore Bhopal. Best time to visit is early morning. The park opens at 6:30 AM in the morning.
