I couldn't understand the meaning of basic etiquette if I have not studied in Veena Public School. This school has maintained discipline since day one. This school was established when there was no public school in 5 KM of radius and villagers were not interested to send their kids for schooling. Mr. Umashankar Sah (Principal and founder of VPS) visited door to door and encouraged parents for basic education. He started teaching from where parents were not taking care of basic hygiene and sending their kids to school in casual dress, without cleaning face, uncombed hair, dirty nails etc..
I still remember that Mr. Umashankar Sah was encouraging us to get new school dresses on festivals (on the occasion of Eid, Holi/Diwali), just to help parents who were unable to spend much on dress/stationary.
I feel proud that i was a student of Veena Public School and still associated. Whenever I visit hometown then it's my prime responsibility to visit school and meet students. it makes me feel like home :)
