★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hey! I love this place because this is my place of birth. I live here on the south east corner of the park. Since childhood I have been playing here. This is a big park in comparison to other nearby parks. At present people around the park have extended their house garden so, the streets look narrow. Also people around the park are not letting the authority to build boundry aroun the park. Other parks got its boundry but this park is still boundryless.
I like this place because it is the neat and clean place in comparison to other muhallas/area like Akbarpur, Atala, Nayapura etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the best play grounds among 5 nearby parks. People around the park have done encroachment by expanding their boundaries and due to this they are not allowing development authority to build boundaries for park. If authority makes boundaries for park then lane around the park will get narrowed since encroachment already done by residents. Even Government authority doesn't take any action against encroachment. This park has lost attraction for playing here and is used to park vehicles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Abdul Hamid was born in Dhamupur village of Ghazipur district, Uttar Pradesh. He was enrolled into The Grenadiers infantry regiment on 27 December 1954. He was later posted in the 4th Battalion of the regiment. During his service, Abdul Hamid served with his battalion in Agra, Amritsar, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, NEFA and Ramgarh. After five years of service in the anti-tank section, Abdul Hamid was promoted and given charge of quartermaster stores of his company. During the 1965 Indo-Pak war, Pakistan forces launched an attack with a regiment of Patton tanks on a vital area ahead of village Cheema on the Bhikkiwind road in the Khem Karan Sector. Intense artillery shelling preceded the attack. Realising the grave situation, Company Quartermaster Havildar Abdul Hamid who was commander of a RCL gun detachment moved out to a flanking position with his gun mounted on a jeep, under intense enemy shelling and tank fıre. Taking an advantageous position, he knocked out the leading enemy tank and then swiftly changing his position, he sent another tank up in flames. While doing so, he was mortally wounded by an enemy high explosive shell. He was the posthumous recipient of the Republic of India's highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra.

Indian Government made Veer Abdul Hamid park for his honour .we can visit any time here.this historical place is very famous in prayagraj.this park is very large.there is entrance gate is made to inter the park.Everyday many people come here and enjoy to spend his time.You should go here and feel the beauty of the garden.His statue is also established here.every citizen proud to Veer Abdul Hamid .
