★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a Suzuki scooter from Vicky that was advertised to have 19,500 km. His son spoke to me since I don't speak Hindi and he said there was nothing wrong with the scooter except you needed to be careful to not flood it when starting it. Fair enough. I didn't ride it for a week after he delivered it but when I tried to ride it I realized there was something really wrong. It started fine, but a retreat l twist of the throttle and it would die (his son rode it to where I rode it and the engine was already warmed up). I figured that I had to put it on the main stand and gently coax it to life and let it warm up. I took it to a reputable mechanic who said it was a problem with the carburetor. After he fixed the carburetor (for which he had to buy some new parts) he heard something rattling in the engine. After dismantling the engine he found all parts extremely worn and had to replace the rocker arm, the timing chain, and various other parts. So ₹5,709 later and I have a semi functional scooter (it still consistently stalls when idling so I may have to have the whole carburetor replaced). He and his son have not returned my messages. Oh, and the odometer is broken. No wonder it has low mileage! Do not do business with Vicky as you will surely be lied to and receive a vastly inferior product than promised.
