All rounder we ask, and here you are. Vidya Valley is finest school in pune because of its overall development approach over Students. They have big sports grounds and play area Experience Teachers Skill development of students Positive environment Admission process is little lengthy i heard, as they give preference to nearby kids. Only one thing to wonder, why they support ICSE board, if they do not emphasis on serious studies.

Completely Hippocratic and Bureaucratic Organization. Doesn't value the ethics and aesthetics they generally talk about. Absolute biased and partial admission process. Allows admission to only good kids to keep up the reputation of the school. Good kids will definitely , always perform good. Best School is that which allows admission to normal kids and get best out of them

Very bad experience. In session they have mentioned that they are doing lottery system but who knows how they are doing on which criteria. Second item in session they mentioned if we have capacity to pay fees so they are happy. It means a lot they are more interested in your income and while you filled the form they are asking enter your yearly amount.. So I think this is also a part of lottery?. Third item while filling form parents have to pay 1500 rs and this is also a side income.. Ideally who get the admission for them they can charge and for rest it should refund amount. I agree earlier vidya valley is symbol for good school but now it is not the case. There are many reviews like over the call they are not responding and without listing us they have disconnected I also face the same problem. I think parents need to think twice before taking admission in VIdya valley. Along with education politeness is also required. If school staff behaved like this then it's impact to student as well.

(For Vidya Valley Wakad Branch) Very Rude Staff. And the fact is - they don't even value the ethics generally they talk about. 1. When a parent calls for inquiring the admission application status, their staff ignores the call and does not pick it and immediate after that switches off the mobile. 2. When in Director interaction round, parent asks certain doubts in mind, certainly not about the school image, brand and their quality but still director rudely answered and looks like rejected my daughter's application because of this. 3. Looks like they have been more commercial nowadays. Update (7 Mar 2020): Surprisingly, we started receiving SMS saying that few places left vacant and available due to cancellation of transfer cases, parents can fill application forms online (1000/- fees) again on their portal. They are not considering the previous forms filled by the parents who tried to follow-up for the status at least 5-10 times. How commercial mind set is this? Just to earn few thousands/lakhs of bucks from admission form fees, they are not even thinking about their reputation in the society.

Worst culture among students. Discrimination among students based on gender, and parent's income. Students can't even talk in their mother tongue. While the infrastructure and extra-curricular activities are good, everything else is just bad.

Vidya Valley school is the best school I've attended. Ms. Sengupta's and Mr. Gupta's vision for the school and approach towards a holistic education and upbringing of students is commendable. The importance they give to co-curricular activities, in addition to academics, really helped shape me and gave me an edge over my peers later on in life. The most important thing I learned from school is confidence. No matter how tense, scary or awkward the situation, I had the confidence to stand up and confront the people or problem when most of my peers from other educational institutions sat down, scared to say something to people in power. However, there are a few things I did not appreciate. The worst thing about VVS is their food. It might sound lame, but it had a bad effect on me after graduating. The food at school was abysmal. The taste was so bad and I swore I'd never eat those vegetables after I graduated. This isn't just a problem for me, most of my friends hated school food too. After graduating, it was hard for me to get myself to eat those vegetables and I developed a phobia towards them. One of the worst and saddest parts of school was the physical and mental abuse students of the 8th grade went through every year at the hands of Mr. Devdutta Pathak, while Ms. Sengupta and her administration turned a blind eye. He made students get sticks to hit them with and made each student kneel down and touch his feet after every class. Physical violence only stopped for one student since his parents threatened legal action against the school. The instructor routinely hit students in this mandatory class and even asked students to hit each other, on occasion. This was nothing short of child abuse, and the school seemed to be a willing party to it since they knew of the problem, but did not act on it. The same instructor even asked students their caste. Once, a student was bleeding because he hit him multiple times with a stick. He even broke a broom while hitting another student. While the school has great counselors for special needs students, they are incapable of properly understanding and handling pubescent teens and their feelings. It is natural for students to have feelings of affection towards other students - it's part of growing up. The school had other ideas. My friend was called to the special needs department because he had a crush on a fellow student. Not only did they shame a pubescent boy for having a crush, they called his parents to school and embarrassed him even more. Another friend was shamed and his parents were called to school for writing an innocent love letter to his girlfriend. Your personal views on dating aside, it is important to understand that it is completely natural and the school could have tried to handle it better by teaching students about what they're going through. After talking to my peers from other educational institutions, I realized VVS has the worst sex education amongst schools in the city. While my peers had comprehensive sex education in their 7th or 8th grades, covering every topic maturely and properly, VVS taught it to us in the 10th grade and skipped through it quickly and awkwardly. It is important for teens and young adults to know about contraception (you know it's important). We skipped over that part in less than 30 seconds. This could have a serious impact on students lives cause let's face it, as much as you'd like to believe it, adolescent teens are not perfect and need proper guidance. The administration can be a little incompetent. I needed transcripts after graduating and asked the school for copies. They gave me an appointment and when I showed up, they did not have them ready. They gave me an appointment the following day, and they did not have it ready then either. This happened a total of 3 times before they finally did it in front of me. Other than these issues, Vidya Valley is great. Thank you for making us who we are. I hope you take my review positively and reflect on the values of the school and what's best for the students.
